Revelations from The Civil War

He Was Only Playing with the Canon
In September 2006, I was awakened by the sound of a canon blast in my ear.
When I jumped out of bed, I had a flash of a man before my eyes who wore the colors of both the Union and Confederate Army. He was behind a large canon, and smiling as if having fun with it.
The sound of the blast was a clue to me that he just fired that huge weapon, and was so very happy to have done it.
I didn’t immediately know what significance this had but a friend of mine happened to send an email and he used the phrase “loose cannon” in his description of someone he was portraying to me.
I asked the Lord if He was telling me about someone I should be warned of. As in a “loose cannon”.
The Lord said “No. This one belongs to Me. He is just playing with the weapon.”

Still in Training
There was a certain movement awhile back that focused on the symptoms of every spirit and gave everyone a name. There were spirits of not only what was named in the bible, but there were spirits of tobacco, spirits of cocaine, spirits of gambling, spirits of pornography, spirits of entertainment, spirits of tears, you name it.

If there was a symptom, there was a spirit behind it.
Well, this is true, but not Truth.

Behind everything that does not glorify the Lord, there is a spirit that is egging on the flesh. We as a church focused more on the demon behind every tree more than the Deliverer.

We were so busy playing with the “Deliverance Canon” that we wounded some of our own in the process.

I have played with this canon, and I have been injured by it. And I have wrongfully assumed that the ones who shot me were enemies.

They were not. They were playing with the canon. They too, belong to the Lord.

There is another powerful weapon being played with called “The Prophetic Canon.”

I have fired it, and have also been injured by it.

I admit, I’m still recovering I think, but recovering nicely. I apologize to those I may have hit while I was having fun.

But there is a greater message here.

He was wearing both colors – It meant he ascribed to fighting for the “whole” nation, or body of Christ. He was not going to fight for some and not others. He saw himself as part of the whole.

We belong to the Lord and we are learning to use a very powerful weapon that has been given us.

It is important to have fun while learning of the strength and power of the gifts, tools, and weapons that the Lord gives, but we also need to recognize that it is for the purpose of maturing in them, and learning how to use them responsibly, realizing that the gifts of the Lord are powerful weapons and can bring Life or Death, Blessings or Curses.

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

May our discernment grow keener, our hearing grow sharp, our vision become more focused, but mostly, our LOVE become stronger, as we are being trained for war.

More Blue and Grey

There are two visions I want to share – one is about 15 years old but I feel impressed that it’s for today to help us prepare. The other I had about 10 years ago,  however I’ve seen similar visions in the past, relating to the same word.

Although these are not new, I feel impressed about the timing.

The Hand is Lifting

I saw a large Hand firmly gripping the world. The Hand began to open, and then lift itself above the earth. Those who were firmly planted in the palm of the Hand, lifted with the Hand. Those who were not, did not.

Interpretation: The One Who Restrains

I’ve been seeing more often, many who are leaving behind old traditions, meaningless celebrations, and relationships that are counterproductive to a loving, healthy relationship with the ONE who loves us with an everlasting love.

This is glorious to see.

However what most of us who are in pursuit of the treasure of His heart are finding out, is that by leaving behind what was not beneficial to us, the enemy has stirred in the hearts and whispered in the ears, of those who did not want to follow alongside us to pursue Him. They want most things to remain the same while continuing to, at best, take the Lord for granted, and at worst, mock Him.

But our presence in their lives had been a “buffer zone” of the grace of God, which sanctified them. Having this slightly lift brought a few things to the surface in their hearts that have been difficult for them to see in the past.

I personally have witnessed this in the lives of some who went to church, even with me at one time in my life, but did not want to really get to know Jesus. When I began to press on, their lives started to reveal the hidden things of their hearts and it was more than they could handle. Things that were once so easy were now impossible.

And yet this is still God’s mercy.

This is for the purpose of repentance.

Is 51: 15, 16 For I am the Lord your God, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar and Who by rebuke restrains it–the Lord of hosts is His name. And I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, that I may fix the [new] heavens as a tabernacle and lay the foundations of a [new] earth and say to Zion, You are My people.

2 Thess 2: 6,7 And now you know what is restraining him [from being revealed at this time]; it is so that he may be manifested (revealed) in his own [appointed] time.
For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until he who restrains is taken out of the way.

The Lord has covered us in the Shadow of His Hand. Is 49:16 says He has inscribed us in the palm of His Hand. His desire is to cover us, protect us, give us mercy and grace, and to save rebuke for anything that raises its head up against us, or threatens us in any way. He loves every one of us but there are those who don’t realize that it’s HIS GRACE that holds all things together. And this hand must lift slightly in order to reveal the lawless works of those He loves, but who have been unable (or unwilling) to see Him.

This is still mercy.

I saw this hand lifting from the earth. Those who were not firmly gripped in His hand were left on the earth so that they might realize their need FOR Him.

The Blue and the Grey – The Coming Civil War

I was walking the grounds of the church I used to attend back in 2005, interceding for the local body of believers there, when I looked up and saw a “snapshot” of slain bodies, cannons, and men dressed in blue and grey uniforms.
I was told there have been several prophetic words about a coming civil war, but now I saw it right there in front of me, with my natural eyes. That means that if I saw it, it was up to me to inquire of it.

I knew this was a civil war because of the colors of the uniforms; blue and grey. As I was just coming into the realm of prophetic interpretation, I was becoming interested in researching the symbols of dreams and visions.

From reading other prophetic words, I was vaguely familiar with the word that there would be trouble between many bound by the religious spirit and those who were seeking more revelation of Jesus.

It wasn’t until I saw Matt Peterson in September 2006 that this vision began to make more sense to me, because what he was able to make clear, was something I hadn’t thought to inquire about because I thought I knew.

Blue represents revelation, and heavenly vision, the Holy Spirit and/or heavenly visitation

Grey represents the mind, and intellect, such as “grey matter”, which are actually structures formed in the brain and spinal cord which process information originating in the sensory organs. In other words, those who judge by natural means; what they think, see, feel, and hear – not according to what God says. These have placed their judgments as above God’s word yet, are in God’s house, as those who fought in the Civil War were all a part of the whole.

Grey also represents mixture, as in the mixture of black and white. It means lack of clarity – as in “grey area.” Those represented by the grey will be on both sides of the fence, or double-minded.

James tells us that those who are double-minded should not think they will receive anything from God for they are unstable in all their ways.

James 1:5-8
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Now that we see who the players are in this civil war, what is our response?

Well, for starters we need to know this is coming, but keep ourselves from the sin that entangled those with the grey uniforms.

It was jealousy that filled the hearts of those who became willing participators in the death of Christ, and while death on the Cross was ultimately God’s plan, there was sorrow and woe to those who became willing vessels in His crucifixion.

Those who leave behind family, old friends, meaningless traditions in order to seek Him in a greater way, will find that jealousy lurks in those who wear grey. Those who think they know Him intellectually but without revelation.

(At the time of this first writing I was experiencing this very thing. My first response was to plead for her mercy.) Mercy will always triumph over judgment and mercy is the Lords heart. To ask for anything other than mercy is to put one article of a grey garment on. Even if it’s only a sock.

Secondly, I need not defend myself or my actions because in doing so, I have to emphasize her sin. Defending ourselves during accusation is tempting, but it emphasizes our own unforgiveness. This is contrary to what Christ cried out on the Cross while HIS BONES WERE STILL SHOWING “Father forgive them for they know not what they do!”

As the Hand lifts, and the lawlessness of hearts are revealed in order to bring repentance, some will come to that repentance.

Some will not.

Seek wisdom.

Seek greater understanding.

Seek Him.

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear – Isaiah 11: 2, 3

Be Strong in the Lord and
The Power of His Might
Walk in His Glory
Shine in His Light
Put on the Whole Armor and
Stand in the Fight
For you’re a child of the Day
Not of the Night

Take up the whole armor
That you may withstand
Knowing you ‘re held
In the palm of My hand
I’ve equipped you to rise
And take back the land
So put on the whole armor
Having done this, now stand.

The Grey and the Brown?

One thing I learned as a young artist in kindergarten was that if you mix too many colors together, you just get brown.

While I never went on to pursue a future in art, this knowledge, I found, did come in handy when making up recipes.

The vision of The Blue and the Grey was one I’d had of a battle scene. The colors of the uniforms indicated to me this was a scene from the Civil War. Because it was the colors of the uniforms that stood out, the Lord gave me insight into some similar scenes ahead, and much stemmed from the colors that each side wore.

The garments of the Confederate Army were actually not grey alone, but trimmed in brown.

Grey is a mixture of black and white (my interp on that: “no absolutes”) and Brown is a mixture of all the colors combined (my interp on that “confusion”)…

The spring of 2007 marked 20 years of the diagnosis of an illness in my body characterized by muscle pain and weakness, and disabling fatigue. I went to The Healing Rooms here in Charleston for prayer.

One man led a group of three who would pray over me that day. He kept smelling gum, Clark’s Teaberry gum to be specific. He asked if that meant anything to me. It did not.

The smell grew stronger. He was impressed that the Lord was revealing something but not getting anything more than that, he simply said “The Lord said to “get the gum and chew on it.”

I recognized this as the voice of the Lord to me, because He often sends me on “treasure hunts.”

(Once for my daughter’s birthday I planned a scavenger hunt. I wrote a poem that contained a riddle which led her to Borders Bookstore, where her first gift and next clue would be. She was to walk up to the clerk, state her name, and the clerk would hand her the gift which I had placed under the counter the day before, along with the clue to her next stop, next gift, and so on. The Lord often does this for me on my journey with Him. Following the Lord in faith has been so much fun and I could see He was about to send me on another hunt).

I left the Healing Rooms that day and the first place I went to, I found Clark’s Teaberry Gum. I took out the first piece and started chewing. I could feel it sticking to my fillings. This was the reason I didn’t chew gum. A filling was pulled out of my mouth once.

While I was chewing, wondering what the Lord had for me in this, I had thoughts of a conversation that took place between my daughter and me two days prior. She was telling me about a prophetic conference she heard of, in which the Lord was filling teeth with gold.

I said to her that we need to ask Him why He does that. We cannot assume that all signs and wonders are the Lord at work, because Satan also performs miracles to get our eyes on the miracle and off the person of Jesus Christ.

So we prayed… “Lord, you fill teeth with gold a lot. Why do you do this?”

As we prayed, I had a word. “Because they were asking for healing”

I had no idea what healing had to do with teeth being filled with gold, but that’s the word I heard.

Back to the Teaberry Gum. Strange how fillings were the focus of my thoughts twice in two days. And at both times, these fillings were coming out!

I was almost arrested right in the front seat of my car! “My fillings! There was something about the silver fillings in my teeth!”

When I arrived back at the house, I ran to the computer to look up silver fillings online. My fillings were not silver but they were a mixture of mercury. 50% mercury and only a small amount of silver.

The more research I did, the more I found out that I had a poisonous mixture (called silver amalgam, or mixture) leaking from my teeth and causing the symptoms that had often disabled me for over two decades.

I came across a site during my search, that belonged to the TACF, and there was an interview with Carol Arnot. It happened that the Lord had been filling teeth with gold during a conference and the interviewer asked “Why gold? Why not just heal the tooth?” This was a good question, I thought.

Carol’s response was that she didn’t know but it was possible that the Lord wanted to fill them with a touch of His glory (gold represents His Glory in scripture), or it could be that He just wanted to remove the mercury from the mouths of His people.

“They were asking to be healed!” That was the word I heard from the Lord when I asked him why He fills teeth with gold. “They were asking to be healed!” and that was what was happening at this conference. They were asking to be healed!

I researched further and then found a dentist and a doctor who heard my concern and I was tested for heavy metal poisoning in my body. Lab work was done, and the lab results came back.

I was ‘in the red zone” for mercury poisoning. Interestingly, I was also “over the red zone” for tin. When I asked the doctor, “why tin?” he said “that proves the mercury poison comes from the dental, and not from fish.”

I began a plan to have 8 fillings removed over a period of several months and start a process towards healing.

Some had asked if this was really the Lord, why didn’t He just heal me all those years ago?

I responded, “I don’t know. Maybe He just wanted to deposit His glory in me first.”

Psalm 12:6 says “The words of the Lord are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace of clay, and purified seven times”

Silver. Pure words. Purity in our mouths.

When I started telling my story, many were surprised that mercury was still being used to fill teeth today. We believed they were silver fillings but the only thing truly silver about them was the color. There was very little silver in the mixture.

The reason for the mixture was primarily the cost, but also because the mixture became hardened faster, and was more durable, than silver.

The words of the Lord are pure. The word of the Lord in our mouths is as silver purified seven times.

Tried in a furnace of clay.

When we speak the word of God, it begins to try us. It tries our hearts and we are at once tested by that which we speak. “Did God really say?” “Do we really believe what we speak?” “Do we believe who He is?” Not everyone who quotes the word of God is speaking a pure word, because it has not yet been tried in their own furnace of clay (earthen vessel) seven times.

The word of God produces a fire, to refine us. The refiner’s fire of Malachi 3. This fire is to remove all the dross of impurity, the dross of mixture.

If we resist the fire, mixture remains in our hearts, and resides in our mouths. Amalgam.

Unbelief, deception.

And if we let it remain, a root of rebellion goes deep and becomes a stronghold. Our hearts, like the mixture of mercury, become hardened faster. Our words also become cheaper. And if we resist the fire, we allow unbelief to take root.

Back to the colors of the garments of the Civil War (remember? this is a story about Civil War uniforms..;-) )..

Confederate Rebel garments were grey and brown. The word “Confederate” means “united in a league, alliance or conspiracy”.

The Lord is showing what our hearts are like, if our garments are grey and brown.

We might want to hold them up to the LIGHT to check their colors.

Heb 4: 7 Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.

The Blue and the Gold

John 17:20 Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,

21 That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.

22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one:

Union: unity agree in referring to a oneness, either created by putting together, or by being undivided. A union is a state of being united, a combination, as the result of joining two or more things into one. (UNITY is not UNISON… felt to make that clear. A symphony is one, but consisting of many instruments playing together)

Gold: riches of the glory of God; enduring capacity of the believer as overcomer; unchanging holiness; wisdom; glory; righteousness; glorifying self when used as adornment or as idol worship. (Lam. 4: 2; Ps. 19: 10, 119: 72; Rev. 3: 18, 21: 18. 21; 1 Cor. 3: 12; Ex. 20: 23; Is. 40: 19; Job 22: 25)

Blue: The Holy Spirit; heaven; heavenly visitation. (Numbers 15: 38; Ex. 28; Num. 4)

The Battle of Shiloh

The battle of Shiloh was the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. (Shiloh, by the way is a name for Jesus and means “Peacemaker”) I’m not a Civil War historian and I apologize to those who are, if I am not presenting the facts as clearly as they ought to be presented, but recently I read up on this particular battle because while reading about the colors of the uniforms I discovered something interesting.

The Confederate Rebels uniforms were not always grey and brown. They were blue and gold, just like the Union army.

It was after the battle of Shiloh, that they changed their colors because they were getting confused and started shooting their own men!

The scene was set and appeared the Rebels could win this battle easily because the Union army was lax. The Union Army was “at ease in Shiloh” and had no indication of any approaching attack.

Shiloh was a surprise attack.

The Union Army made a decision to hide in a very low, sunken road, called “Hornet’s Nest”, and because of this low position they took, they were able to kill the general of the Rebel army, and this caught the Rebs off guard, causing them to start shooting at their own men in their confusion.

Those in a Union with Christ, will wear the garments of Revelation and Glory, and will take the Low, Bowing Down in Worship, Humble, and Philippians 2 Position. Those who wear the colors of Mixture, Unbelief, and Judgment (by the sight of their eyes and the hearing of their ears), will be filled with confusion, fear, and start attacking their own, as well as those perceived to be the enemy.

Matthew 7:21, 22 says “Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and in Your name driven out demons and performed many miracles?’ And then I will say to them openly (publicly) ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who act wickedly (disregarding My commands).”

“I never KNEW you”, in this sense means an intimate knowing, as in Husband and Wife. This is the kind of Union the Lord is seeking. We can do all kinds of miracles, healings, and speaking of prophetic words, but Jannes and Jambres imitated Moses before Pharoah as well.

This is not a lovenote to cause anyone to start looking over their shoulder, nor for anyone to remind the Lord of the one you share your dinner table with. Rather, it is for your preparation. Don’t be “at ease in Shiloh” (at ease in your peace and comfort) but rather take the lower position, knowing you have an enemy lurking about and victory is accomplished in the low position.

(Amos 6:1) WOE TO those who are at ease in Zion and to those on the mountain of Samaria who are careless and feel secure, the notable men of the chief [because chosen by God] of the nations, to whom the house of Israel comes!

Those who wear Blue rely upon the Spirit-quickened Word and obey what is heard and seen. Their minds are fixed on things above, not on things of the earth (Col 3:1-4) (Spirit of Revelation)

The Gold is the gold Jesus counseled the Laodiceans to buy from Him, refined in the Fire. Those who allowed the fires of their trials to refine their hearts and minds. (Rev 3:18) (Spirit of Wisdom)

(Eph 1:17, 18) I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints

Those who are in a Union with Him, are one in spirit and mind. Equal partnership. (John 17:21) They are the ones who know Him more intimately and have cultivated this relationship.

(Eph 1:17, 18) I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may KNOW HIM BETTER.I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints

Hide yourselves in the sunken roads so as not to be so easily detected by the enemy, and you will be the ones who take down the general.

But if you find yourselves with some mixture still in your teeth and not the purity of the word as silver refined, if you struggle with unbelief, having some fear and doubt, this doesn’t make you the enemy. Remember, we’re still in training. You have a little time to let His word try you as silver refined.

This makes you qualified to overcome.

Do understand that the Lord loves you and is quick to forgive all those who come to Him and acknowledge these things in the Light. He is quick to forgive those who come to Him with repentant hearts. (1John 1:9)

But we need to press in to obtain excellence (Phil 3:14) because we need to not only know His goodness, but be aware of His severity too. (Rom 11:22)

Though the battle at Shiloh (Peacemaker) was the bloodiest battle fought in the Civil War, the Union Army won, and so shall we who seek to be One in heart, mind, and purpose with Christ, and when this happens, it will translate into unity, the Psalm 133 kind of unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

We aren’t there yet, but we still have a little time to make ourselves ready.

Resting Between His Shoulders; Our Peace

He Is Our Peace

He is Our Peace

He has broken the wall that had divided us all

And His government shall increase He is Our Peace

The whole world’s crying out for peace

Hear the cries for peace and safety

Soon the Lord is gonna come as a thief In the night

A new world order they demand

For bringing peace upon our land

Thinking this is what we all need To set things right

But unto us a child is born

Unto us a Son’s been given

And the government will be upon His shoulders

There is no true peace among men

Til we first know the Peace that’s within

And He is called Mighty God, the Everlasting Father

The Prince of Peace

Jesus is our Peace

Jesus is our Peace

He has broken the wall that had divided us all

And His government shall increase

He is our Peace

One day this song came to me while I was scrubbing a floor, praying about what peace means.   The Berlin wall had just been knocked down and we rejoiced in the new found freedom in Germany.   But, I wondered, was this real peace?

The systems of this world are the gods of our land.  When the systems topple, those who put their hope in the systems will become fearful, and topple with them.

The systems of this world are falling today, as we even see in current events, bringing chaos and confusion.

But He is our Peace.

There is too much news – most is fake, or slanted in the direction of one or the other party.

But He is our Peace.

Many voices have gone out into the world, proclaiming they have the word of the Lord.   Confusion.

But He is our Peace.

Friendships seem to be getting strained.  Maybe that is why Paul said “I am determined to know nothing among you except Christ and Him crucified.”  What is Christ doing in your life?  Are you in love with Him?  Paul is looking for fruit, not looking for sin.

But He is our Peace.

And the government will be upon His Shoulders.

Let me tell you about those shoulders.

I had a condition once called, Frozen Shoulder”.  It was extremely painful.  I have never experienced as much pain in my body as I had with this.  I begged for surgery and I received it.

While I experienced this, I heard the Lord whisper “I held my weight up on the cross by My shoulders.”

When I thought of this, I realized this is absolutely correct.  He could not have held His weight up by His hands.   They were nailed.    It was all laid upon His shoulders.

The weight of our sin was placed upon His shoulders.

And the governments will be upon His shoulders too.

We need to rest between those shoulders.

They are strong.

Fear of the Lord is Found in the Wilderness

Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Have we even gotten to the fear of the Lord in our walk yet? Or are we quick to claim we have wisdom apart from this?

Romans 1:21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

The Wilderness, our Cross, instills in us a fear of God. A Holy Fear that then gives birth to wisdom. The “they” in this passage are those who knew God through nature, through creation, but did not want to be accountable to God for their behavior. If there is no God to be accountable to, then they would be free to sin.

No fear of God.

In touching the wilderness and its moment-by-moment perils, we encounter the awesome truth of our frailty and need for grace, mercy, and forgiveness.

We find insignificance in the universe and yet Significance in Him. and if we are still, we find that the riches of His beauty and His strength become ours, undeservedly. This exchange is not to be found by those who do not touch the Wilderness, or the Cross. Those who want a shortcut will find temporary glory and power, but their thinking is void of His wisdom and their hearts have become full of deception, and glory fades quickly.

They have become like those who call evil good, and good evil. (Is 5:20)

Fear of God is a higher fear. If you fear God, you have lost your fear of man. The rest of your journey is to then please the One who created you for greatness, and nothing else matters.
Not even the greatness you were created to walk in.

Blackholes of Need

Long greasy hair braided by a blind man
fingernails filled with dirt;
Looking like an unkind man
toothless smile; crooked brows
new testament, psalms, full of thees and thous
in a bag, buried neath sunflower seeds
says he ‘s okay
but he’s a blackhole of needs

smoking her cigarette on the bench
in the park
Her living room, kitchen, where she sleeps

when its dark
fragmented cappillaries cover her cheeks
but she’s stayed out of rehab now for a few weeks
she picks up the bottle that fuels fantasies
says she’s okay but she’s a
blackhole of needs

“Take them to breakfast”
I fell to my knees
I knew I’d been called to love
The least of these
My love is imperfect,
Unskilled in the street
Why should I be chosen
To wash these dirty feet
I’ve taken no classes
I’ve not worked in this field
But I heard very clearly
To His heart mine should yield
It’s hardest to love those who’ve never been loved
But as I do I emerge leaning on my Beloved…

They say they’re okay, but these blackholes of need
Are the reason Jesus Christ came to bleed.

Black Hole’s Birth Scream Heard Across the Universe

The Title of this article, as it appeared in, is actually “Black Hole’s Birth Scream heard across the Universe.” According to the news story, this was “an explosion that signaled the violent death of a massive star,” and was seen quite by accident via satellite, back in March 19, 2008.

Several things struck me about this.

First, the image itself. It is unmistakably the face of a baby in the womb.  On the right side of the green explosion in the center of the image you will see the infant’s face, and on the left, you will see what appears to be an entire fetus.

Second, the title of the article “Black Hole’s Birth Scream heard across the Universe.”   The article itself does not refer to this explosion as looking like an infant, yet they clearly choose to use the phrases “birth” and “death”, in the birth of a black hole that was caused by the death of a star.

Third, according to Genesis 22:16-18, the promise given by the Lord Himself to Abraham and his seed, our descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky.

But we have a Black Hole where some of our descendants should be.

Fourth, this promise, given only to Abraham and his seed, is directly tied to our victory in gaining possession of the enemy’s gates, our military power.

Fifth, this was the Birth Scream of a Black Hole, which took place before the Foundation of the Earth, yet we are just seeing it now.  Something that took place before the foundations of the Earth were laid, we are just now seeing.  Why?  Because of the distance between the Black Hole and the earth.  According to the article,

“It took the light of GRB 080319B about 7.4 billion years to reach Earth, placing the explosion “more than halfway back to the Big Bang and the origin of our universe,” Grindlay wrote in an editorial accompanying a new study of the burst in the Sept. 10 issue of the journal Nature.
This means that the explosion happened 3 billion years before the sun or Earth even formed, Grindlay added.
When astronomers see such distant objects, they are in effect looking back in time.”

Of course, we don’t believe in the Big Bang Theory, nor do we ascribe to a universe or earth that is billions or millions of years old.  The point, however, is that what took place in the heavens thousands of years ago has just been made visible to the human eye.

Can we then, believe, that when the Lord “It IS DONE”, it really is done in the heavenlies whether we can see it or not? Can we believe His word that was spoken in the heavenlies and declare it to be?

(Excerpt from “Searching for Israel”)

Genesis 22:16-18 records God’s embellishment of the promise on the occasion of Abraham’s “sacrifice” of his son Isaac:
“By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son, in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

God promises to multiply Abraham and to give him control of strategic military and commercial positions, “gates,” in his enemies’ territories.  As we will see, this promise speaks of the geopolitical advantage God later gave Abraham’s descendents. God bases this promise on Abraham’s obedience of the command to sacrifice his son, Isaac, a sacrifice God of course stopped just before the knife fell. Note, too, that this promise has the effect of an oath, in that God swears by Himself.

Since this is the last recorded promise to Abraham, it is fitting that God should refer to His first promise, recorded in Genesis 12:1-3. God reminds Abraham of His promise that his seed would be a blessing to all nations. In Galatians 3:16, Paul makes it plain that this “Seed” is Christ. Christ, who is in the lineage of Abraham, blazed a trail by which all peoples could ultimately develop a relationship with the Father. Christ’s work makes it possible for God to be our God, according to the promise of Genesis 17:7-8. Christ is indeed a blessing to all nations.

I believe that the Lord is saying in this sign in the heavens that the sin of abortion, the taking of innocent blood, is a direct cause of the loss of our militiary strategy, power, and favor in our nation.  Abraham was willing, as an act of obedience to the Lord to sacrifice his son, but He heard the Lord’s promise of another sacrifice, a perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ.

Deuteronomy 19:9, 10 If you keep all these commandments to do them, which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God and to walk always in His ways, then you shall add three other cities to these three,     Lest innocent blood be shed in your land, which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance, and so blood guilt be upon you.

Ps 106:37, 38 Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with their blood.

Joel 3:19 Egypt shall be a desolation and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness for their violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

Watchmen and Witnesses? Or Watchdogs?

Jeremiah 1:11  Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah,

what do you see? And I said, I see a branch or shoot of an almond tree [the emblem of alertness and activity, blossoming in late winter].
12 Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.  (This should be our heart as well. Are we watching for His performed word?)
Many of us who are watchmen know these verses well.    But this is what spoke to my heart…
“Watching over my word to perform it…”      Not only does the word for almond tree sound like the word for watching in Hebrew
 shaw-kade’   (Almond Tree)
 shaw-kad’  (watching)
But the Almond Tree is the first to “arise”, to wake up, to bud.. it is considered an ‘early riser”…
I felt the Lord tell me I was to be watching for HIM in HIS WORD  (as the Lord was “watching over His word to perform it) first in Jerusalem, then in Samaria, and then to the uttermost parts of the earth…
Is His word being performed in Jerusalem? (IN MY OWN LIFE)  Do we see HIM larger than ourselves?   Are we early risers seeking His face and repairing the breaches of the gates of our minds and hearts in order that He would remain and not just visit every now and then?  Have we closed the portals to our eyes and ears to keep out the enemy?  Have we kept our hands clean?

What about Samaria?  Is His word being performed in Samaria?  (Our HOMES AND COMMUNITY AND WORKPLACE?)  Do we see Him larger than our bills, our responsibilities, our home repairs and maintance?  Our time or lack of it?   Our unsaved spouse or children.   Is He bigger?    Is He bigger than our loud neighbor,  or the one who has an unsighly lawn?  Is He bigger than the cancer our elderly neighbor has,  or the drug problem our other neighbors children have?
Is He bigger?  Is His word being performed over them?  Are we watching to see it is?

And then to the uttermost parts of the earth.

I am watching for Him and want more of Him in my  life.  I want His life to be clearly evident in mine.

A true watchman is one who watches for Him in all things.  Watches FOR HIM in HIS WORD.   IS A WITNESS of Him.  It is not one who watches for when the enemy approaches.  We don’t tell a counterfeit bill by studying all kinds of counterfeit money.   We tell a counterfeit by studying the real deal.

“I am determined to know nothing among you except Christ and Him crucified”  1 Co 2:2

Acts 1:6 So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

7He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;  but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

Acts 2:1 When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.
And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Power came upon them as they were watching FOR HIM…..

We cried for revival
To come to our nation
A Great New Awakening
To this Generation
To restore all things back to
To the twinkle in His eye
So we fasted and prayed
Then He heard our cry
But we grumble and complain
And disagree with each other
“Is this move of God?
Or shall we seek another?”
Like John the Baptist questioned
The disciples of the Lord
For Christ came in meekness
But John expected a sword
What is it that we go
Expecting to see?
A strange new phenomenon?
The demonic to flee?
“Come and get some”
An invite I despise
For He is here with me
Before my own eyes
Holy and beautiful
Not a “some”  I should get
But the Lord to behold
Who freed me from all debt
Grateful for visitation
I thank Him for this move
May He set hearts on fire
May His word WE now prove
But may my heart remain pure
And my eyes fixed on Him
As the things of this world
Grow now strangely dim.
Watching at my own post
Watching only for Him.

Elijah-in-the-wilderness_Washington_AllstonMy Dream

I dreamed of two interns. One was in the operating room assisting the Chief Physician in an operation, but he made a mistake, a costly mistake even. The physician said it was serious enough but he was able to correct it and cover over it so that there was no damage or scar. He then took that opportunity to explain and teach the young intern so that he could avoid this kind of mistake in the future.

The second intern wandered off to another operating room. He was merely curious and wanted to observe, however the only person in that room was he himself and there did not appear to be anything going on. He touched nothing and did “nothing wrong” but something went wrong (in the dream it was not clear what that was) and he was formally accused and “tried”, because he was the only one in the room at the time. He was not where he belonged.

Interpretation: The Lord is our Chief Physician. I felt the Operating Room He was operating in was “The Grace Room” while the other operating room was “The Judgement Room”. As long as we remain in the place He has called us to be, all our mistakes, even grave ones, are covered with grace. That does not mean we get away with anything. The Chief Physician uses these errors to teach us valuable lessons. We are safe as long as we are with Him. However, if we wander away from His watchful eye, from the place He has called us to be, we are wrong no matter if we have done nothing wrong.

I am reminded of a vision of a hurricane I had, in 2008. The Lord showed me a powerful storm coming, and yet this Hurricane with its perfectly formed eye, became HIS eye, and He said “I want you to remain in My eye.”

And I, I alone, am Left
(or “I Am Not Right”)

1 Kings 19:14 He said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts, because the Israelites have forsaken Your covenant, thrown down Your altars, and slain Your prophets with the sword. And I, I only, am left, and they seek my life, to destroy it.

Elijah just had his greatest victory on Mt Carmel. (1 Kings 18) Elijah gathered all the men of Israel and said to them “How long will you waiver between two opinions? If God is God, then follow Him, and if Baal is God, then follow him” Basically “Get off the fence and live what you believe!” And in front of all Israel he said “I alone am left a prophet of the LORD, but Baal’s prophets are 450 men.

Now, Elijah has made an error here, for he was NOT the only prophet left.

He was like the intern in my dream, in “The Grace Room” operating under the watchful, careful eye of the Lord. Not only does the Lord NOT publically humiliate him, he doesn’t even correct him. Instead, the Lord validates and performs His glory in front of all Israel, and 450 prophets of Baal AND 400 prophets of the Asherah, based upon Elijah’s faith in God.

What a conference meeting!

But, in 1 Kings 19, Elijah is seen running from one woman. He just performed the greatest miracle of his career, and now he is running from ONE woman.

What follows? Depression for starters. Severe depression. He calls out to the Lord to take his life. This is not “the blues” we get from time to time. This is severe depression when you call out to God “Take my life.” He questioned the Lord, basically, as to what was His purpose for keeping him around. He was no better than his ancestors.

However, the response to Elijah was via the Angel of the Lord who provided him food because his journey was going to be a long one. Elijah was going BACK into the wilderness. He was IN the wilderness in 1 Kings 17, and strengthened by the food brought by the ravens. He recognized supernatural provision then, and was even able to perform the miracle of the widow’s oil, but here, he was sent back into the wilderness where he was fed by an angel this time.

He goes on his journey and then comes to Mt Horeb where he inquires of God. “What are you doing here Elijah?”

Ever get that word from the Lord?

“What are you doing here Darlene?”

It’s like you once thought it was okay to go certain places because you thought you were invincible and God would just follow you and answer you and vindicate you because you are so great at what you do for Him, and nobody does it quite like you, that it doesn’t really matter where you go or how you speak to Him.

Or does it?

Elijah’s response again? “I have been very zealous for the LORD, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.” (vs 10)

The Lord gives him one more time to respond with the HeArT rEsPoNsE He requires of Elijah, but the Lord isn’t asking Elijah because HeHimself doesn’t know. He is giving Elijah time to think about where he is and why.

Location, Location, Location.

“Tell me Elijah, why are you here?”

The Lord tells Elijah to go stand at a different place upon the mountain. He passed by but Elijah could not see Him. And then a fierce storm came, and the Lord was not in it. An earthquake came, and the Lord was not to be found. Elijah then found the Lord again. He was in the still, small voice. He was found in peace.

The Lord asks one more time “What are you doing here Elijah?” Again, He wants a proper heart response from Elijah.

Location, Location, Location.

“Where is your heart, Elijah? Is it operating in The Grace Room or have you wandered off to The Judgement Room again? You will be tried there, you know. I’m not there to bail you out. I’m not there to cover you”

Elijah’s response again?

“I have been very zealous for the LORD, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.” (Vs 14)

What Elijah was telling the Lord is that he had this awesome, heavy duty, magnificent call, that nobody else has, or if they do, they are not obeying the Lord as Elijah himself is because he doesn’t see anybody coming forth to help him out!

“Who will do this if I don’t?”

“At least not the RIGHT way”

(vs 15-18) The Lord said to him, Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.

And anoint Jehu son of Nimshi to be king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah to be prophet in your place.

And him who escapes from the sword of Hazael Jehu shall slay, and him who escapes the sword of Jehu Elisha shall slay. Yet I will leave Myself 7,000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him.

Elijah’s mantle of authority was removed by the Lord in the same breath that He told Elijah to go back to the wilderness. Back to the drawing board.

It’s all about location. Being in “The Grace Room” under His watchful eye. Being where He calls us to be. Doing only as He instructs us to do. It’s not about how much we do. It isn’t even about how great we perform the duties of our call.

It’s about how well we follow His lead.

Preparing for the Famine

Amos 8:11 “ Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD,
“ That I will send a famine on the land,
Not a famine of bread,
Nor a thirst for water,
But of hearing the words of the LORD.

vs 12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
And from north to east;
They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD,
But shall not find it.

Whenever I had read that, I “assumed”  it to mean that 400 year period before Christ was born, because there was nothing written in scripture regarding that time,  so there was a famine.

But then the Lord said to me “Look again”

I looked again. I realized this was talking about a Day, as in The Day of the Lord. As it flowed into Amos 9, He says He will restore the Tabernacle of David which had fallen. This is taking place right now.

So “The Day” in Amos 8 is not speaking of the silent years before Christ’s birth, but is speaking of the time before HIs second coming.

This is a Present Word for Today.

But, is there really a shortage of God’s word in the Earth?   In nearly every community in the United States, there is a church building.

There are websites proclaiming God’s word.

There are radio and television programs.

There are magazines and myriads of books being published and sold.

There are organizations and missions going oversees.

There are gifts with scripture on them.

I even found candy called “Testa Mints”

So, where are people running to and fro looking but not finding Your word Lord?

He said to me “Darlene, Look again”

So I looked again.

It did not say “a famine God’s Word” but rather of the “HEARING OF GOD’S WORD”.

Psalm 12:6 says the “words of the Lord are pure, like silver tried in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.”

God’s Word is pure.

The Word of the Lord spoken and preached today is often mixed with our own filters.

I will admit, I have mixed the word of God with my own filters.  My thoughts, opinions and beliefs that don’t line up with His PURE word will leave people HUNGRY.  Only the PURE WORD OF GOD SATISFIES.

God’s Word is Tried

None of us are exempt from having mixture.   We go through refining fires in order to bring forth a purity of heart, which will overflow out of our mouths and in the words we speak.   (Matt 12:34) (Mal 3:2,3)

All the words we speak will try us.  Once it comes out of our mouths, we are tested in the thing we spoke.   Our words frame our outcome.   If we speak what we hear the enemy speaking, he will certainly validate those words with signs.

If we speak what the world is speaking, there will be plenty of others to validate what we speak.

If we speak what God speaks, then that word will be tried in a furnace of clay, which is our own earthen vessel.   It will be tried first in our own being.

This is why when we speak healing over our body, when it has been ill, that word tries us.   “Do you really believe?”

And then the Lord uses the enemy and the world to try us as well.  “Did God really say?”

Your response will be your outcome.

But if you stand, in belief of God’s word, then it is purified once.

Tried Seven Times

Now, speak healing over your sick body again.

Call the elders, get some oil, and get the righteous to pray fervent prayers.

You will be tried.   “Did God really say?”

Your response will be your outcome.

But if you stand again, in belief of God’s word, then it is purified twice.

And so on, for several times until this word in you has become a pure word.    When it is a pure word, you can speak with boldness and authority.   And it leaves others satisfied, blessed, and fed with nourishment that brings healing to the body.

If you love me, feed My sheep

Not “If you love me, perform powerful works, signs and wonders”   Though this will happen as the Kingdom of God becomes more manifest in our lives, we don’t show God we love Him by trying to perform.   There are a few things He requires, as a response to His love.   One is to feed His sheep.

He would not feed fast food or anything of mixture that leaves His sheep hungry and thirsty.    Nor does He want us to.

What do we have?   Pure word?  Or Processed Food?

If we love Him, we need to feed His sheep with the pure word, tried as silver in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.    It won’t happen right away, but we who teach, write, preach, bring the word of God in any way, must make that our goal.

Scripture is clear.   There will still be a famine of the hearing of God’s word, but I don’t want to be responsible for feeding junk food.

“So pay attention to how you listen! Those who understand these mysteries will be given more knowledge. However, some people don’t understand these mysteries. Even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”  Luke 8:18

The responsibility of receiving into our spirit, the word of God, is mainly the receiver’s, however. We are obligated to make sure we are teaching the pure word, but the responsibility of how we process the word lies within us.

It isn’t that we hear God’s word, or read God’s word, or speak God’s word, but it is that we listen, let it digest, sink in, or before we speak it, know that we have let it sit awhile to be tried in us.
