1 Samuel 31 – 2 Samuel 2

I was led first to 1 Samuel 31 (being December 31, the last day of the year) and I saw a link between today’s date and there being only 31 chapters in 1 Samuel, and in this chapter, Saul dies. I heard the Lord say “The days of Saul are coming to a close; those days of judging by outward appearances – by sight and sound, rather than by My Spirit; those days of leading by your own personality, and the traditional religious system; however even Saul was My Anointed so do not touch him, for he is set in position until the appointed time.  Though I have given you authority in the spirit, I will require you now to walk in it.  Some of the mighty will fall, some you will love.  Grieve, but let not your heart be troubled. Saul died by his own sword.”

Psalm 149:6 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,  To execute vengeance on the nations
And punishment on the peoples, ⁸ To bind their kings with chains
And their nobles with fetters of iron, ⁹ To execute on them the judgment written;
This is an honor for all His godly ones. Praise the Lord!

The weapons of your warfare are not carnal, not earthly, but are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.  As you praise the Lord with shouts of praise and triumph (high praises) and as you learn how to wield your two-edged sword with love (the truth of the Word of God in love), it is the Lord who executes, punishes, and binds.  I am sending you out as sheep among wolves therefore be wise as snakes but innocent as doves.

“Before you are able to overcome, you must be sound in My love for you. David was sound in the love I had for him and he knew that he was first, a son.  You will not be able to walk through what lies ahead unless you are rooted and grounded in My love.  If the accusations to your thought life are able to stick, go back to square one of My love for you, from a Father to a child.  A Bride cannot receive nor give love to her Groom if she has been unable to receive love first from her Father.”

My Love
My love for you is eternal. You are the apple of My eye.  I am a rewarder and desire to give you good gifts.  I always provide for you.  I have a plan and a destiny for you.  I am not willing that you should be lost. I want to heal you and I am able to heal you. I have compassion and passion for you.  My love is stronger than the grave and many waters cannot quench this love.  You are blessed with every gift in the heavenly realms.  I am  for you and not against you.  I discipline those I loves as sons. I desire a relationship of acknowledgment and trust.

Authority
Submit and honor the governing authorities and you will walk in authority.  The need for legitimate (backed by My Power) authority will increase in this nation, as lawlessness arises.  Don’t look to be crowned by men.  Be careful to guard your heart against lawlessness.  Little things you might have gotten away with before, such as doing five miles over the speed limit, or parking in a no-parking zone, will be judged in mercy, but will be swift.  I will judge lawlessness in My people however small it may be.  I will guide you with My eye.  Don’t be tempted to say, along with the world “who sees me?” And don’t wait for a word from Me to do what you know to do.  Is it love?  Move in it.  Is it faith?  Act in it?  Is it mercy? Judge by it. Is it truth?  Speak it.  Does someone need healing? Heal them.  Does someone need prayer?  Pray.

Recognize the authority you have and walk in it.  You do not have to take authority; you have been given it.

Exposure
Exposure of the practice of iniquity will continue to increase.  Be careful of the shouts of triumph as the world continues to be exposed for its sin; I am not finished judging My church.  If you are found to be in a sin, repent quickly for your adversary will seek to destroy you with accusation through people.  Be humble and surrendered to Me; acknowledging Me in all your ways.   Because of your enemy, I will discipline you more closely, and as you surrender to Me, you will sense my pleasure all over you.

Rebellion
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.  While I have given you authority to walk in and govern, the lawless will continue to illegitimately take the authority upon themselves to control and manipulate.  You will see the darkness of witchcraft come out of hiding and be broadcast through the airwaves, the television and radio and over the internet.  I say “increase” because it is already happening but it will soon threaten your ability to be free with what you speak.  You’ve seen a little of it, but it will be everywhere and in your face.  Pay attention to My Spirit and I will give you what to say in appointed times.”

Civil War
The Battle between Legitimate (backed with My power) and Illegitimate Authority (not backed by My power) will bring a civil war to the United States.
(Darlene’s note: A civil war has been prophesied for about a decade or more but the time is now.  This is not a war between the right and the left. It is not a war between male and female.  It is not a war between states or nations, but rather a war of Legitimate and Illegitimate authority.)

Church Growth and Decline
There will be growth in the church like not seen before; a movement toward the House of Prayer/Praise (David was king over Judah, and Judah means praise).   As this growth increases, there will be blessings released toward those who have been in traditional religion for most of their lives but are coming out of the religious church – they will not curse the tradition but will give it a proper burial out of respect – yet will move on (2 samuel 2:4-7)  They, like the men of Jabesh –gilead, will join David’s army.

Ish-Bosheth – (Ish-bosheth means “the man of shame”)
If Saul represents traditional religion and judging by sight and sound, and outward appearances, Ish-bosheth, being his son in the flesh, will be an amplified version of all these and will seek to govern by illegitimate authority.  Traditional churches will rise in power, but only because they will sense that authority has been removed (Saul is dead) and so they will try whatever means to remain on top, and many on the political left AND political right will seek to side with them; they will not be interested in seeking God but rather power.  Watch the mainstream denominations this year.  Many will come out of them like the men of Jabesh-gilead, and give a proper burial, but many will join them as well.

Redeem the Time
“The days are evil, therefore redeem the time. What are you doing that adds no value to your life?  What conversations?  What games?  How much time on the internet?  Real fellowship does life with each other.  Real fellowship is accountable and holds others accountable.  Real fellowship lays down a life (comforts, plans) when necessary.  Real fellowship sees the need before it is obvious to everyone else.  How can real fellowship happen unless your time is redeemed?   I will command blessings to fall from heaven where real fellowship occurs. Do you need an answer from Me?  Check your relationships within the Body, beginning at home.”

Deception – An Angel of Light
“Truth” is a Man and is found in the person of Christ.  Many will be led astray by truth that looks, smells, feels and sounds scriptural or resonates with personal beliefs and feelings.  Many who followed darkness will come into the True Light but many who followed after Christ will begin to follow the Angel of Light – choosing spiritual deeds apart from Me – and will think they are following Me and speaking for Me.  Truth is a Man and all truth is found in the Person of My Son.  Check your heart daily to see if you are in the faith – by acknowledging Him and exalting Him.  The more your conversations exalt spiritual truth above Him, let this be a sign to you.  Do not be deceived.

The civil war will be between Legitimate (Power-backed) and Illegitimate authority.  One is given, the other is taken by force.  This is not about the violent taking the kingdom of heaven by force – this is about authority being taken by force.  Authority is only taken by force when it feels threatened.  And it only feels threatened when it is not there.

“Legitimate authority is covered with My favor.  Legitimate authority is backed with My power.  Legitimate authority is covered in true light.  Do not be afraid of the darkness.  It has no power over you”.
