Psalm 40:3
He has put a new song in my mouth- a song of praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will put their trust in the Lord.
A new song is not limited to, and I would go as far as saying, is primarily NOT, a praise song we sing on Sunday morning.
It is the song we sing daily in our conversations.
A National Geographic article on DNA, says science has found a way to record proteins in the body and when they are played together there is a song.
Do you remember before you knew the Lord, your “song” Was one of fear? Or maybe constant depression? Or maybe sickness and disease? Maybe it was how poor you were? Your conversations find their way into your DNA by your repeated singing and your body has followed suit.
He has put a new song in our mouth, a song of praise to our God. The new song, is our new conversation. A song of praise in our mouth’s, change our pH, and eventually have effect on all our cells.
