Psalm 79:9, 10 help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive us our sins for your name sake. Why should the nations say, “where is their God?“

For the glory of your name. For your name sake.

Though the Lord delights to save us and deliver us and forgive us because He loves us, it is for the sake of HIS name that He does what He does for us.

If we have difficulty believing He will do something because of who we are or what we have done, believe He will do it because of Who He Is and that the purpose is to glorify His name so nations will never wonder where He is.
