The Lord gave the word; great was the company of those who proclaimed it. Psalm 68:11

Desire Abundance

Psalm 63:5
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness;

Isaiah 55:2
Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.

John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

A spirit of religion says moderation or even restriction is godly. But all through the Bible we see that abundance is what Jesus desires for us. Fatness!

But wait!  How does this align with Proverbs 30:8,9?
Give me neither poverty nor riches—
Feed me with the food allotted to me;
Lest I be full and deny You,
And say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or lest I be poor and steal,
And profane the name of my God.

Isn’t this asking for moderation?

Or what about when Paul says this?

Philippians 4:12
I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Parallel to the Natural
I am on a ketogenic diet.  High (good) fat, low carb, eating only 3x day, no snacks.   High calories.   One whole avocado is 360 calories.  I can eat one a day.  Not that I am limited to one a day.  I am satisfied with one per day.   One whole boiled egg is 60 calories.  I eat four a day.   I take 1 tbsp fish oil, 1 tbsp flax oil, 1 tbsp MCT oil, 1/2 tsp ghee, pat of butter, chunks of cheese, full fat milk in my coffee and 1/4 cup real olive oil in my salad.   High fat is satisfaction.  High fat satisfies the hormone leptin.   It is good fat and removes cravings.

If you don’t have your high fats first in the morning, you will crave carbs.  Carbs do not satisfy.  They taste good.  They fill your belly; but you always want more.

It is the same in the spirit realm.  When you desire the meat and milk (cream, butter etc) from the Lord in His word you are satisfied with whatever comes your way.  If you desire what is not good for you or what is not from the Lord, you will continue to crave what is not good because you are not satisfied.   When you desire abundance and ask the Lord for it, do so in order to give Him credit for it because any less can be obtained through any source.

Desire abundance from the Lord.  Ask for abundance so that you will be satisfied with whatever place you find yourself in.

What do you need today? Ask for abundance of it from Him. He alone satisfies and keeps you from constant craving.
