15:1 Then Samuel said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over His people, over Israel; now therefore, listen to the words of the Lord.
vs 2 Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he set himself against him on the way while he was coming up from Egypt.
vs 3 Now go and strike Amalek and utterly destroy all that he has, and do not spare him; but put to death both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”
The era of Saul is over, but have you ever asked what, specifically, was the line Saul crossed? In a nutshell, Saul was to destroy his enemy and take nothing for himself. Did he do that?
vs 9 But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were not willing to destroy them utterly; but everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.
Saul disobeyed a direct word from the Lord and kept back portions for himself, then blamed it on the people, saying he obeyed every word of God (vs 21).
vs 22 Samuel said “Has the Lord as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams
vs 23 “For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He has also rejected you from being king.”
I wrote about this in December, the word given me for 2018. Here is a portion of that word:
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. While I have given you authority to walk in and govern, the lawless will continue to illegitimately take the authority upon themselves to control and manipulate. You will see the darkness of witchcraft come out of hiding and be broadcast through the airwaves, the television and radio and over the internet. I say “increase” because it is already happening but it will soon threaten your ability to be free with what you speak. You’ve seen a little of it, but it will be everywhere and in your face. Pay attention to My Spirit and I will give you what to say in appointed times.”
I did not know at the time I wrote that word, all that I know now regarding what is currently going on in our government and the world. Have you seen authority and power removed in the spirit from former leaders and the mainstream media? Have you seen the reports blaming everyone BUT herself, himself, themselves over why they lost control, power, the election?
When the Lord no longer has HIS power backing a person (or persons), and they do not sincerely repent for the reason His power was removed but rather, they blame others and try to take control again, it becomes witchcraft.
Saul pushed himself to the line many times but he crossed it when he disobeyed the Lord and took for himself and others the spoils in the enemy’s camp.
Think Iran Deal. Could that have been when the Lord said “Enough!”? Who are the Amalekites today?
Treason is only 1/10.
