He Answered Faith

Psalm 28: 1 To You, O Lord, I call;
My rock, do not be deaf to me,
For if You are silent to me,
I will become like those who go down to the pit.

Yesterday I went to the ER; I had double vision – but not side by side vision.  It was rather one image stacked on top of its identical image; top on bottom.  In addition, I was feeling disoriented and confused.

When I arrived at the hospital, they took my blood pressure.  201/117.  I don’t have high blood pressure normally.  I’m not on medication.  So it was being ruled out as a stroke.

I got on facebook about 2:45 to ask for prayer for my symptoms and about 3:15 my vision started returning to normal and blood pressure was going down.  My cat scan was very clear.  In fact it was perfect.   The doctor came in and said he was somewhat confused because my symptoms were of someone who had previous heart disease or was having a stroke, but the tests indicated differently.

What was it?

I knew that I could pray but I also knew that if I asked the body of Christ to pray for me, they would be mobilized against this attack and I could rest.  And, rest I did.  I slept for a few hours afterwards and was released to go home about 6:30 last night.

Answer to prayer.  Not just prayer but the prayer of faith.  Now listen, I have faith in God, but I also know He chooses to work through His people.  I had faith that God would work through them on my behalf so I could get some rest.  He answered me, but He answered them.  I am not a lone stranger on this journey here.  We need each other.

Without answered prayer, we are nothing but wishers and rely-ers on luck.  We are like those who have no hope.  I was not afraid in the ER, in fact, I was thanking the Lord for needed rest and helping me to fast (I didn’t have a thing to eat until 7 pm – having had nothing but a half cup of coffee in about 22 hours).  I was also feeling a little inconvenienced by these symptoms because I had plans for the day but it is wise to have stroke or heart symptoms checked with urgency.

My brothers and sisters moved on my behalf.  THAT in and of itself was amazing but that within 30 minutes of the asking, my symptoms started returning to normal.  GOD was on the scene.  GOD had answered my prayer.

So, some might ask, if God is so great, why didn’t He just stop those symptoms from happening in the first place?   Well, He could have.  I have gotten past trying to figure Him out and control how He should do things.

I do know that if He kept me from these symptoms, I would have no reason to reach out to the body for prayer and FIND HIM IN THE MIDST and wouldn’t find the greater thing.

God answers!  If we have no need, He has nothing to answer.

I woke up this morning feeling wonderfully refreshed.  I was thinking about how loved I am and how this love that is poured out on us is more powerful than the most brilliant sermon.  Love, poured out from God via imperfect people.

God ANSWERS us.  God RESPONDS to faith. Without that, we are just like those who have no hope.

Annointed to “Make Supper”

This sounds strange, I know, but this was the word I heard in my spirit in the early 2000s as I was sitting in church, wondering what my own calling was. “You are anointed to make supper.”

I remember grimacing my face because it was way out in left field, what my kids would call “so random” and it was just not a recognized, “real anointing”.

Then in 2005, I visited a friend’s church in CT and it was a custom to have a prophetic word given by a prophetic team to new visitors.  I loved how some on the team talked about being refreshed by gentle rains but one of the ladies say “I see you in the kitchen making soup for supper.  Do you work in a homeless shelter or something?”   I said “No”.
In fact, I didn’t like cooking much at all, but there it was again.

Over the next few years, the Lord would confirm in small ways, what He was calling me to do.  It always seemed like a little piece of the puzzle here, a little piece there.  There were several times it was prophesied over me that the Lord had called me as a prophet, and I would think “Ok. What does one do? Am I doing it? When will I do it?”   Then I was told to just “be” and I would think “I AM just being. I still don’t know what my calling looks like.”

I did sense I was being called back to school (at age 48) into the holistic health field.  Nutrition, Wellness, Herbalism, etc.  As I was learning about nutrition, I recalled our big family feasts every single Sunday.  It was a combination Italian and Portuguese get together and included pasta and meatballs and antipasto and canoli’s and cake etc.  Supper (we called it supper, not dinner.  Supper sounded friendlier but less structured and often nothing fancy.)  Angolo-di-tavolata-e1354905095292

What would happen if we never had weekly supper, only family feasts?   There would literally be no nutrition throughout the week, we would have no relational time with just our intimate family, we would be starved, and couldn’t function.

Then the word came back to me “You make supper.”   And it was becoming clearer.  I am anointed to provide nutrition!

Yes and no.  It was again, another piece. How did that fit in with all the times having hands laid upon me, that my anointing was prophet?

I read the word daily.  It is where I have trained myself to look for Him.  There are sometimes major revelations as I read, but usually, I just read.  Every time I do, I have tucked a nugget of gold inside my heart.  Sometimes it is an answer and sometimes it is a revelatory word for a future event, and most times they are reminders of His goodness.

Along the way, I give these little nuggets of gold that I have tucked away in my heart to others; nuggets of wisdom, love, insight, friendship, acceptance, etc.  Whatever is needed at the moment, it’s like the Lord Himself reaches into my heart to provide a hidden gem for another person.  Sometimes it’s a plain word but it’s always good.

This morning I was reading Psalm 23 (today is August 23, it is my scheduled reading for today according to the date and it is my mother’s (now in heaven) birthday.)

I read ‘you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies,  you have anointed my head with oil, my cup runs over” and I heard “You make supper” all over again, as I recalled my mother fixing supper all those many years.  Every day, day in and day out.  What could seem ordinary was actually nutrition being provided.  We were full.

But I looked again.  Every day I read the word, I take in spiritual supper.  Every day I write a blog, I provide nutrition.  Every time I talk with someone and give that one the word with love and friendship, I provide nutrition.

What would happen if we never had supper?  We would be weak, we would be hungry and likely go searching elsewhere to find food.

I have one more month before I become a certified nutritionist.  All along the way, the Lord has held my hand as I walk through the complexity of it, never letting go and teaching me about Himself through it all.   “Bring the fatted calf” helped me investigate more into the fact that fat was actually good for us.  Genesis 9 tells us God provides meat for food.  Romans 14 tells us that eating meat and being a vegetarian is our choice and done unto Him.  I’ve learned that He desires WHOLE food, not processed food where goodness is stripped and junk added back for taste.   He desires us to eat organically, not anything sprayed with chemicals.   But there’s more.

Every word of God is an acknowledgment of who He is.  Every word of God provides strength for the moment, and the day, and power over the enemy.  Every word of God provides a fresh perspective, and mercy.

And, most often, being a prophet is more about the supper than it is about the Sunday dinner.  I make supper.

David demands Michal

2 Samuel 3: 14 So David sent messengers to Ishbosheth, Saul’s son, saying, “Give me my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to myself for a hundred foreskins of the Philistines.”

And Ishbosheth sent and took her from her husband, from Paltiel the son of Laish.

Then her husband went along with her to Bahurim, weeping behind her. So Abner said to him, “Go, return!” And he returned.

David, yes the very same one that God had declared was a man after His own heart, was just anointed King over Judah, and Ishbosheth, son of Saul, was made King over Israel.  Michal, was Saul’s daughter, Ishbosheth’s sister.  David, sent messengers to Ishbosheth, to say “Give me your sister, who is married to Paltiel. She belongs to me now.  Paltiel was weeping at the loss of his bride but he was told to ‘go home.’

What WE think of David, the man, is not the same as what God thinks.  His thoughts are higher than ours.  He is not a respector of persons.  He will use evil and just alike to accomplish His purposes and plans.

Psalm 51 records David’s confession years after his “sins”.   This confession was “against You [God] and You alone”.

Spiritual Warfare is to Trust in the midst

Psalm 20:1 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;
May the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

vs 2 May He send you help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen you out of Zion!

vs 3 May He remember all your offerings,
And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah

vs 4 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,
And fulfill all your purpose.

vs 5 We will rejoice in your salvation,
And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

vs 6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;
He will answer him from His holy heaven
With the saving strength of His right hand.

vs 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

vs 8 They have bowed down and fallen;
But we have risen and stand upright.

vs 9 Save, Lord!
May the King answer us when we call.

Welcome to my blog!  As I was reading this passage this morning, a pattern of thought was illumined to me.

I was diagnosed with severe arthritis in my feet.  The troubling part goes deeper than the pain itself.  It affects my life long desire to bring healing to people, alleviate suffering, educate in wellness, while I work in the health food store.  I am on my feet more than I could bear, and when I got home I was on the couch for the rest of the day.

One day while I was walking in the aisles at the store, my feet felt like they were crippling. I could feel them turning inward while I favored them.  There was a mirror in front of me, at the end of the aisle, and as I walked towards it, I noticed my feet were not actually turning inward.  They were straight!  But they felt crippled!

I got a flash of the movie “Miracles from Heaven” in which a young girl, who was diagnosed with an incurable digestive disease that would eventually take her life, fell out of a tree and got a concussion.  The concussion was used to restore and heal her.

Just a few days ago, a well-respected pastor in our area had leaking cataracts.  He also had macular degeneration in both eyes and has been blind for 14 years.  He needed surgery in order to repair the cataracts because the pressure was great, however, the macular degeneration was incurable.

After the operation, he pulled his bandage off and to everyone’s surprise, he could see!  Sight had been restored although this was not the goal of the operation; the goal was to remove the pressure.  Could his sight have been restored sooner if he had an operation sooner?   I don’t believe so.  I believe that this 14 years served as an important journey to shape his character, refine him and “see” things spiritually he may never have seen if he had his natural sight.  He is seeing his son-in-law and daughter-in-law and grandchildren for the first time.

God has used what was meant for evil, for good.

This somewhat goes along with my recent posts.  We want to rebuke, even cast out, the devil and stand on God’s promises while we rebuke Satan, but God used what Satan meant for evil to destroy us in the very thing God wants to glorify Himself in.  Our questions are wrong!  It is not “Why me?”  but “Help me to see You in this chapter of my life.”

Healing should not be a goal.  Seeing God in the journey should be our everyday goal; our plan; our purpose even.  Spiritual warfare has nothing to do with rebuking the enemy in our lives, but rather finding strength, peace, help, answers, defense, fulfillment, and acceptance in the midst of trouble, weakness, sorrow, trial and tribulations, and our response should be to rejoice, set up our banners (continue to stand on the word and declare it), and rise up in the name of Jesus.

Don’t give your weakness nor illness credit, don’t give your enemy power!  He is a tool in the hands of a Mighty God!

Thank you for reading,

Align with His Will

The other day I was putting the legs of a patio table together.  When I got to the last leg, the pre-drilled holes on the leg didn’t seem to line up with the pre-drilled holes at the base of the table.   How was I going to get the bolt in that holds the leg to the table if the holes don’t line up?

When we are lined up to heaven, blessings flow through.  In the same way the bolt would fit through the holes if the holes were lined correctly, this is the position we too must be in if we want to receive anything from God.

1 John 5:14 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

James 4:1 What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members?

vs 2 You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask.

vs 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Position yourselves according to God’s will, and the blessings will pour in, like a bolt slips through two perfectly aligned holes in the boards.

His Grace is Sufficient

my grace

1 Corinthians 12:9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

vs 10 Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

The body produces a glucostersteroid hormone known as cortisol in the event of stress, and this hormone enables your body to deal with that stress, providing extra energy to your muscles to adapt to the situation you are faced with.  It is like grace provided in our weakness because without cortisol, you would have no strength for the task.  Your body would tap into your adrenals which provide adrenalin, often called epinephrine, which is meant for short-term only, and causes the blood to pump, the heart to race, the palms to sweat, and provides a shot of intense energy and stimulation.

The body is not meant to produce a constant supply of cortisol, nor adrenalin.   Cortisol output should wax and wane, producing a sufficient amount when energy is needed, but becoming the lowest when rest is necessary.

In our fast-paced busy lifestyles, sadly, more people are using up cortisol and becoming burnt-out.  They have run on empty and have no more to give.  Diabetes, obesity, heart disease and a host of other metabolic and cardio conditions surface.

If grace is like cortisol, then adrenaline is like the gift of faith, that supernatural energy that kicks in when you need to act quickly in times of emergency; such as lifting a car that rolled onto a body. But that adrenaline, which causes our hearts to race in order to get the job at hand done, was never meant to be in overdrive.  It will cause a breakdown in our body.

I see cortisol as God’s grace upon my body; helping me in times of my weakness when I need to get a job done and cannot do it alone.  Grace is a literal substance that is washed over me to provide energy and strength.   Grace is always in operation but sometimes more is necessary, and sometimes I need greater grace (pictured as adrenalin) to accomplish something completely impossible.   It is only for the moment.

Grace is an enablement.  The free dictionary defines enablement as:

1.a. To supply with the means, knowledge, or opportunity (to do something); make able: a hole in the fence that enabled us to watch; techniques that enable surgeons to repair the heart.

b. To make feasible or possible: funds that will enable construction of new schools.
2. To give legal power, capacity, or sanction to: a law enabling a new federal agency.
3. To make operational; activate: enabled the computer’s modem; enable a nuclear warhead.

4. To behave in a manner that facilitates or supports (another’s abusive, addictive, or self-destructive behavior).

The Greek word for grace is “charis” and according to Strong’s concordance   also means favor and kindness.

So God’s grace is favor and kindness and this favor and kindness is a divine enablement provided in your weakness, in order to give you energy and strength for the task at hand.

When He tells you “My grace is sufficient”  He is not saying He will not give you what you ask because His grace is all you need.  He is telling you to look at His grace as the answer to accomplishing what you need.

I have arthritis (diagnosed significant arthritis) in my feet, yet I have to be on my feet for at least 5 hours a day.  The pain feels bone-crushing.  I woke up yesterday with so much pain and I cried out to God to heal me.

“I want to be healed.  You didn’t bring me this far to drop me here.”

“My grace is sufficient for you.”

Is He telling me “No? I won’t heal you?  Deal with it and I will give you grace to endure it?”  No.  I was able to function without pain all day yesterday.  His grace washed over me and I was at my best.

I want to be healed of this because it interferes with my function.  He is providing what I need for the moment and teaching me how to rely upon His grace for function. As I rely upon His grace for my function in order to accomplish tasks that are impossible for me, my body is healing.

He is telling me that His grace IS the mechanism of healing.  His grace is like cool water on inflammed joints.  His grace is a refreshing breeze on a hot, summer day.   He didn’t say He would not heal me.  He said “My grace (my enablements; my strength in your weakness, my power in your fraility) is sufficient (enough to meet the need or purpose at this time).

So, each day as I wake up with pain, I look to the Lord.  “Your grace is sufficient to get me through the day.  Let Your grace wash over my feet so that I may do the job You called me to.”

Each day, His grace washes over me, enabling me to do the job I am called to do.  This is the manifestation of His healing.  I know His word says I am healed but it is His grace that allows me to function without pain.

His grace is SUFFICIENT.  That does not mean when you ask for a fish He will give you a stone.  He is providing healing (or whatever it is you need) by means of His grace.

Millenials Need Prayer, not ridicule

Malachi 4:5 “Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord.

vs 6 He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.”

I was listening to some advocates for Democratic Socialism, and the thought struck me that many of the millenials who are for this have never seen capitalism work and by the time they were in college they were taught about capitalism’s evils.   They really don’t know the hearts of our forefathers who laid down the constitution because little by little history has been removed from our school systems so that all our kids are taught is what the corrupt establishment wants to teach it.

So as I was listening to some speak about this new system that seems really appealing, I heard in my spirit “When Elijah comes, he will restore the hearts of the father’s back to the children and the children to their fathers”……

We often hear this to mean “in the home” and I believe that to be the case, but I felt as if the Lord was saying that a new movement was going to come, in the form of a company, an Elijah company.  Not a man, not a woman, not a small group, but a large number of people, and this company would carry the spirit of Elijah and would restore the hearts of a generation of children back to the forefather’s hearts and the hearts or intents of the forefathers back to the children.

In order that a curse will not be upon our land.

Pray that these young people will be returned to the hearts of our forefathers.  Ask the Lord to help them see the intent was to protect us, not harm us.  And as children that they have a desire to understand the constitution.

Now, this went further to my spirit.  This is a first step.  They cannot see that God is a good Father because they have been blinded.  These millenials are eating tide pods on one extreme, and on the other crying out for Democratic Socialism.  Why?

Because their hearts are not turned to the fathers.  Therefore they cannot see God as Father.   Pray for them.  Don’t make fun.  Pray.

I believe we are in the season right now of an Elijah company.  Be a part of uniting the hearts.

God is ALWAYS Good

It’s easy to skim over the verses below but read them.  Keep this in mind: God sends the defeat, just as He does the victory.  God sends the wounding even as He does the mending.  God sends the chaos along with order.

Is God good in all things?  Even if He slay you?  Even if He he seems to leave you?  Even if He surrounds you with turmoil?   Is He still good if He doesn’t heal you in your timing?  Is He still good if He sends the rain and the floods?  Is He still good if you can’t find His favor?   Is He still good if you fail?  Is God still good if you are depressed?   Is He still good if you feel rejected by Him?

Is God still good if you feel disgraced and humiliated?  Is God still good when you are lonely?

Is God still on the Throne?  Is He still Captain of the Angel-armies?  Has He not appointed an angel assigned to guard you?

This is going to go against a lot of theology but I take more comfort in knowing that if the devil attacked me, I can pay him no mind to him because the Lord allows it for my struggle to know and trust God in a greater way.

At the core of all addictions, is an anger towards God.  Every.Single.One.  Put aside drug and alcohol addiction.  Food. Gambling. Sex. Shopping. Internet. Video Games.  Addiction is filling up the void that was PURPOSELY CREATED BY GOD.

A void created by God?  It was purposely created by God.  A longing, an emptiness, a need that could only be satisfied by Him and when it isn’t, we fill up on other things.  This filling up of other things is what happens when the sun goes down on our anger.

We call God good, but we have a biased definition of good.  We say we are blessed when we receive good things, but do we say we are blessed when we are persecuted?  Do we say we are blessed when we are starved?  Do we say we are blessed when we are without resources?

Defeat, like victory is God’s doing.  Adversity, like prosperity, is God’s doing.  It is too shallow for me to give the devil credit for anything any longer because whoever you give credit to, gets the glory.   I’m not going to get into the sickness thing.  God’s desire is for you to be healed just as it is His desire for you to prosper and be in victory.  But the journey to getting to that place with all its pitfalls, and troubles, is still by God’s hand.

If you can’t see that, you, YOU PERSONALLY, will not rule from a place of victory but defeat.  You will continually see that you have to reach a certain goal in order to attain something you will never be able to attain.

Ruling from a place of victory is understanding that though the devil slay you, he was just a tool in the hands of the ONE who loves you in order to refine you.   Jesus Himself said, regarding His own death:

John 10:17 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again.
vs 18 No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.”

Psalm 44:2 O God, we have heard with our own ears;
our ancestors have told us
The deeds you did in their days,
with your own hand in days of old:

vs 3 You rooted out nations to plant them,
crushed peoples and expelled them

vs 4 Not with their own swords did they conquer the land,
nor did their own arms bring victory;
It was your right hand, your own arm,
the light of your face for you favored them.

vs 5 You are my king and my God,
who bestows victories on Jacob.

vs 6 Through you we batter our foes;
through your name we trample our adversaries.

vs 7 Not in my bow do I trust,
nor does my sword bring me victory.

vs 8 You have brought us victory over our enemies,
shamed those who hate us

vs 9 In God we have boasted all the day long;
your name we will praise forever.

vs 10 But now you have rejected and disgraced us;
you do not march out with our armies.

vs 11 You make us retreat before the foe;
those who hate us plunder us at will.

vs 12 You hand us over like sheep to be slaughtered,
scatter us among the nations.

vs 13 You sell your people for nothing;
you make no profit from their sale.

vs 14 You make us the reproach of our neighbors,
the mockery and scorn of those around us.

vs 15 You make us a byword among the nations;
the peoples shake their heads at us.

vs 16 All day long my disgrace is before me;
shame has covered my face

vs 17 At the sound of those who taunt and revile,
at the sight of the enemy and avenger.

vs 18 All this has come upon us,
though we have not forgotten you,

    nor been disloyal to your covenant.

vs 19 Our hearts have not turned back,
nor have our steps strayed from your path

vs 20 Yet you have left us crushed,
desolate in a place of jackals;
you have covered us with a shadow of death.

vs 21 If we had forgotten the name of our God,
stretched out our hands to another god

vs 22 Would not God have discovered this,
God who knows the secrets of the heart?

vs 23 For you we are slain all the day long,
considered only as sheep to be slaughtered.

Once while sitting alone in my room
Reading and writing a psalm
I felt a quick jart
Thrust into my heart
Its removal felt more like a balm
I was caught in a daze
And my eyes were a glaze
It was nothing like I’d ever known
Painful yet sweet
And while still in my seat
I found that I wasn’t alone
“I wounded and healed you so no one else could”
I heard audibly with my ears
I sat, at a loss
Then  saw Him on the cross
His side jabbed by a much larger spear
Blood flowed out like water
Bones exposed to all men
“Forgive! They know not what they do”
Then He looked straight at me
“All Glory be
To the One who makes all things brand new”

Your word is like fire shut up in my bones

fireJeremiah 20:9 But if I say, “I will not remember Him
Or speak anymore in His name,”
Then in my heart it becomes like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
And I am weary of holding it in,
And I cannot endure it.

Lamentations 1:13 “From on high He sent fire into my bones, And it prevailed over them.

In Jeremiah’s day, they didn’t have diagnosis’ like arthritis or fibromyalgia, what most of us know today as pain producing, often described as fire in the bones or muscles.  Jeremiah attributed it to being weary of holding back the word of the Lord spoken to him.
I have noticed that arthritis, at least osteoarthritis, (osteo means bones), is often related to depression, anger and unforgiveness.

Proverbs 17:22 A happy heart is good medicine and a joyful mind causes healing,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones.

Bones are connected to each other by ligaments and between each bone is a joint with synovial fluid between them, preventing friction.  When bones dry up, that fluid dries up, and friction produces fire between them and around them.

Could Jeremiah have felt arthritis pain from his anger?  From holding back the word given him?

Jeremiah 20:7 Jeremiah said, O Lord, You have persuaded me and I was deceived;
You are stronger than I and You have prevailed.
I am a laughingstock all day long;
Everyone mocks me.

vs 8 For whenever I speak, I must shout out;
I shout violence and destruction,
Because the word of the Lord has become to me
A reprimand and a mockery and has brought me insult all day long.

It appears Jeremiah is angry because nobody listens to him.  He has to shout and scream and warn and all he gets is mocked and laughed at and ridiculed.   The word of God has become to him a reprimand and mockery and attracted insults.  That is anger towards God as well.

I was reviewing some older writings yesterday and came across one particular piece I wrote in December 2012.  It was about my anger needing to be released.  It felt like my writings were poisonous.  Nobody hears, nobody listens, they seem to mock and be scornful and I hated being a laughingstock.  I just wanted to be myself and enjoy life, I didn’t want to have this burning in me to get out what God gives me….

There it is, a burning within me to release; to release the word of God but also release forgiveness and release anger.  I let the sun go down on it.

Today I have arthritis pain.  It’s easy to take something for the pain.  I think I’ll just examine why it’s there.

And write another blog.

Positive Energy? Or Light?

In the early 90’s the Lord spoke to my heart “If a stranger can use a word in place of Mine, he can also offer a solution apart from Mine.”

There is no Positivity or Negativity in the Kingdom of God.  There is Light.  Positive and Negative are charges that are used in tandem to produce energy.  Yes, there is energy WITHIN the Kingdom of God, but that energy is not the source of life.

No doubt you have heard a person describe another as being positive and upbeat.  Similarly, you see a lot of negativity these days, complaining, arguing, causing distress, etc.   Both positivity and negativity are charges that produce energy, but you cannot have energy without a positive and negative charge.

A person who displays confidence, and the “glass half-full” attitude is said to be positive.  But a person who sees everything as the “glass half-empty” is said to be negative.  Complaining, debby-downer.   I saw this “half-full half-empty” description of another as moot, having no practical significance whatsoever because to me, when someone describes another as seeing the glass as half-full, it is saying that person sees the emptiness….it could be fuller, but a person who sees it as half-empty sees the fullness and has vision that it is ONLY half-empty.

It is a matter of perspective.  There is no significance to this at all.  So what is the common belief?   The common belief is that there are positive people and negative people.  Those who see the glass as half-full are said to be positive, and see the bright side of things, where as those who see the glass as half-empty are said to be negative and see the darker side of things.

People who are said to be positive want to kick negativity to the curb.  But there can be no energy without positive and negative working together.   When you take this logic to its conclusion, it makes no sense.  It stops short and is shallow.  I get that we want to be around people who are upbeat and not around people who are complaining, but God calls this something different.

Belief (faith) and Unbelief (doubt) is what happens inside us when Light or Darkness is our focus.   Not positive or negative.   I know, it is words but WORDS have life and create existence.

The first paragraph in the Old Testament includes the first recorded word of God.
Genesis 1:3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

The first paragraph in the New Testament calls that spoken Word, God.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Also in the first paragraph of the New Testament, it defines that Word, not as energy, not as positive or negative, but as Light and Life.

John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
vs 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

The Word creates existence.

Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

So, positive people are actually those who believe for the best but do not have a solid basis on why the best should exist.  And negative people are those who do not believe the best and cannot see that the best should exist.

That is FAR from the truth that God gives.  He is LIGHT and that LIGHT is LIFE.

Are you with me so far?

If you are thinking by now, “it’s all semantics, I know what is meant by the word”, well, so do I and I reject it.  Because it is fine now, but the word CREATES something unseen within us.

Positive and Negative are charges used to conduct electricity.  You need both for energy to exist and function to happen.  Without both, the car doesn’t start.  So, why do people who call themselves positive want to kick negative people out of their lives?   I know what they mean.  They don’t want to be brought down from their false all smiles and sunshine.  It drains them.  It makes them feel and see things they don’t want to look at.  In my view, that is denial.  Energy needs positive and negative charges to operate.  The truth is, energy exists regardless if positive people don’t want to see how it exists.

Let me get even more truthful.  Positive people need energy.  Those who pride themselves in being positive are ATTRACTED to those who bring them down because they need energy and then become upset because of that same negative energy in that person.   That is because their SOURCE of LIFE is the actual ENERGY itself.

Still with me?

If I am a manager of a store, I am tasked with making the store more hospitable, inviting others to come in, and hopefully creating more revenue for the store.   Who is the better manager?  One who is filled with positive energy?  Or one who is filled with Light?   Positive energy is by design attracted to negative energy in order to exist, and by design more jealous of positive people.   Don’t believe me?   Try getting two magnets and putting them together.  One side of a magnet has a positive pole while the other side is a negative pole.  Positive and negative will attract each other, but positive and positive repel each other.  The same with negative.

People who are filled with Light and Life see both light and darkness and can bring solutions.  They are attracted neither to positive or negative people but rather seek to infuse both with more light.

If you accept the word “energy” in place of “Spirit” you will be using the words “positive and negative” instead of “Life and Light”.
If you accept the words positive and negative to describe people, then you will accept that you run out of energy and often surround yourself with too many negative people who drain you but yet you continually do it.

And then, you will accept receiving hands laid on you by a Reiki Master, one who imparts positive energy that flows out from themselves into you.

But, if you reject the word energy as it relates to the unseen part of a person that gives LIFE and FUNCTION, and you call it what God does, Holy Spirit, then you have seen that it is HIS SPIRIT within you that lives and moves and breathes and has your being, HIS energy flowing through and providing your function.  You will not perpetually be attracted to people who bring you down because they cannot bring you down if your eyes are focused on the One who gives LIGHT and LIFE, who ILLUMINES your own darkness.   You will recognize from time to time that you run out of steam, and have gotten off track but when hands are laid upon you by another who believes that God is the Only Source of Light and Life and Healing and ALL THINGS, then it is HIS SPIRIT flowing through the hands of the vessel, and not that person’s energy (and you don’t know what they have thought that morning.  You don’t want another person’s energy, do you?)

God is LIGHT.  His LIGHT is LIFE.  LIGHT produces energy by speaking into the darkness.  LIGHT illumines our own darkness.  We are a candle, able to be illumined by God.

You don’t cast out darkness.  You SHINE in it.

Psalm 18:23 For You light my lamp;
The Lord my God illumines my darkness.

“If a stranger can use a word to replace Mine, he can also offer a solution apart from Mine.”

Yes there is energy produced by God, it is called Light.  Light imparts LIFE.  LIFE is energy.   Atoms are energy. (Yes, they are not matter they are energy, look it up.)  Atoms have protons which are positive, and electrons which are negative.  These positive protons and negative electrons work in tandem to create energy.  Without one or the other, there is function for a short while, but it is unstable.

Are you a positive person by your own definition of positive?  If so, you need energy which cannot exist without a negative person in your life, which you want to kick the curb because they bring you down, yet you will be attracted to negative people all your life and they will be attracted to you because you cannot exist without them and then, all that negativity you have regarding negative people becomes darkness within your own soul.

Semantics?   Nope.
