2 Samuel 3:1 Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David; and David grew steadily stronger, but the house of Saul grew weaker continually.

On December 31, 2017, the Lord took me to 1 Samuel 31, then gave me a word: “The ERA of Saul is dead.”   This chapter was the end of the book of 1 Samuel, and the end of Saul’s life.

As I sat reading, I felt a stirring to put out a word for the year.  The ERA of Saul is Dead, though I didn’t title it that way, and it never occurred for me to do so.  I titled it “The Battle for Authority”….   Had I titled it “The ERA of Saul is Dead”  I may have been asked so many questions that I could not answer, since I was only writing what the Lord said, not what I knew or thought I knew.

Over the months, I saw confirmation after confirmation that brought ME hope alone.  I felt like a prophet giving a word, yet the Lord shut the eyes and ears and hearts of those who read it.  Should I have written it differently?  Should I have been more specific?  Should I have given more details?

Then, the worst questions to ask myself.  Those that second guess who I am,  and “have I really heard?” and “did God really say?”.

2018 has been a very difficult year as I strove to break out of a mold I was in.  Like the caterpillar struggles to break free from the cocoon.   Church changes, relationship changes, occupation changes, physical changes, another death in the family, death of a family pet, the end of a chapter in my parent’s home that we finally sold; so many memories there, and my own struggles to get well and lift myself from adrenal fatigue, and severe arthritis in my feet, and the challenge of rain all.year.long.in.WV.  It was difficult to get anything done, difficult to get a pool up, a contractor out, etc.

And with changes, come insecurities, frustrations maybe, some uneasiness.  I grew weary with excuses and distractions and walking with dramatic people.  I let people go.  But with that change and pressing through, the blessings came forward, but they only came through windows of opportunity and had I not been pressing through, had I given up hope, I would have missed them.

As I look back on the year, even now as I write, I see in my own personal life, The ERA of Saul is dead.  The ERA of trying to fit in a certain mold, trying to fit into a vision God had not intended for me.

Saul was selected as King because the people wanted a king.  They wanted someone to rule over them.  Sometimes it is easier to have a leader that gives us what we want, and when consequences come, we can blame the leader.   We see Saul’s introduction in 1 Samuel. In the last chapter of Judges, chapter 21:25 it says ^“In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”

There was no regard for the rule of law, no regard for the Torah.  People did what they wanted to do as they saw fit to do, not according to what was right for the whole of society, nor according to what was right in the eyes of God but according to what was right in their own eyes.  They demanded a king but they already had Judges.   Judges weren’t good enough because they were not “OVER” them.  Judges had no authority over the people.  They just heard cases and decided the right thing.    Why was this not good enough?   Because then they would have to govern themselves.    And they could not govern themselves because they had already sinned.  They already succumbed to the curse of Balak.

So God gave the people what they wanted.  Someone who will rule over them.  Someone different.

A friend of mine recently pointed out to me that a first mention of Saul, was in 1 Samuel 9:

1 There was a man of Benjamin whose name was Kish the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power.

vs 2 And he had a choice and handsome son whose name was Saul. There was not a more handsome person than he among the children of Israel. From his shoulders upward he was taller than any of the people.

vs 3 Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. And Kish said to his son Saul, “Please take one of the servants with you, and arise, go and look for the donkeys.”

vs 4 So he passed through the mountains of Ephraim and through the land of Shalisha, but they did not find them. Then they passed through the land of Shaalim, and they were not there. Then he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they did not find them.

vs 5 When they had come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, “Come, let us return, lest my father cease caring about the donkeys and become worried about us.”

Donkeys are a symbol for the Democratic party today.  Many former leaders who were originally sent to look for the lost donkeys of the Democratic party and unite them back together again had studied under Saul Alinsky, a community organizer, an activist and author.

Saul Alinsky’s mission was to pressure government to conform to the needs of the people, and his modus operandi was “the end justifies the means”,  which means “no matter what, no matter how, get it done.”   His first and famous book “Rules for Radicals” was dedicated “to the first radical, Lucifer”.

Two of his most famous avid students were Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama who helped lead the donkey party away from its original mission.  They took a FAR LEFT TURN.

The ERA of SAUL is DEAD.  Q calls this “The liberal left” while Dennis Prager says Liberalism and Leftism are not equal.  Liberalism and Conservatism had common goals when the parties began; Conservatives believing less government will reach the goals while Liberals believing more government will reach same goals.  Leftism leads to communism which believes government is basically God, and socialism is the means to achieving it, by seducing the people to vote for socialism.  (a curse of Balak by the way) –

The ERA of SAUL is DEAD.  This year,  I see a major fall from grace in the Catholic Church.  Pope Francis has admitted to “grave errors in judgment” when it comes to Catholic Bishops sexually abusing thousands of children.  Lay members of the Catholic Church have become angry because they trusted leaders who let them down and now they want to sit on the boards to see to it that justice gets served.  Pope Francis has asked Bishops not to address anything until a worldwide conference of Catholic leaders in February.  What will happen in February?   I don’t know but I believe that there will be an attempt to preserve the clergy and laity system.   The Nicolaitans of Revelation.

The Compromising Church

Revelation 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,

‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: 

Vs 13 “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

vs 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.

vs 15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

vs 16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

vs 17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” ’

Government is coming back to the people.  God’s government is coming upon the earth and will invade our political and religious systems.
The ERA of DAVID is upon us – the ERA where we the people get back to governing ourselves rightly and standing righteously before our God.  We are not completely there yet but a movement is showing more people uniting for what is Truth, what is Right, and what is Honorable.  They are not falling for the proverbial bones that are being tossed out to them.  The House of Saul wants you divided.  Balak stuff which THUS leads to Nicolaitan stuff.  God has much against this.

But the House of Saul did not give up, and will not give up, their authority easily.  And the two Houses warred for a long time.

Nancy has been given the gavel back as Madame Speaker of the House.  And we see the real agenda is now to take down all the the President wants to do.  Not because of what he wants to do but because of who and what he represents.  She is part of the House of Saul, trying to keep the power in place when Saul has died.  As I wrote in “The Battle for Authority”, trying to keep power in place when it has died looks like Saul Alinsky’s m.o. – “no matter what, no matter how, just get it done” and it becomes uglier folks.

When generational change occurs, affecting the deep inner workings of any system, there is pain, often doubt and maybe confusion, stemming first from distraction.  The Lord wants us to first know of His love for us and that He is with us.  There is a tendency to think we are cut off from His eyes but He hears us and He recompenses those who act in faith that God is on the Throne!

Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David; and David grew steadily stronger, but the house of Saul grew weaker continually.

Abner, the son of Ner (Saul’s uncle)was Saul’s commander.  After the death of Saul, Abner joined forces with David.  He said his mission now was to turn the kingdom of Saul over to the King of David.  David and Abner made peace and David sent him away in peace.   Joab and company was upset with David because they said Abner planted himself inside the House of David to spy so they took it upon themselves to kill Abner.  David made it clear he had nothing to do with Abner’s death and mourned.

2 Samuel 3:22-27
At that moment the servants of David and Joab came from a raid and brought much spoil with them. But Abner was not with David in Hebron, for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.

When Joab and all the troops that were with him had come, they told Joab, saying, “Abner the son of Ner came to the king, and he sent him away, and he has gone in peace.”

Then Joab came to the king and said, “What have you done? Look, Abner came to you; why is it that you sent him away, and he has already gone?

Surely you realize that Abner the son of Ner came to deceive you, to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you are doing.”

And when Joab had gone from David’s presence, he sent messengers after Abner, who brought him back from the well of Sirah. But David did not know it.

Now when Abner had returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him privately, and there stabbed him in the stomach, so that he died for the blood of Asahel his brother.

This is going to be a year of questions, distractions, confusion, disillusions, disinformation, betrayal and wearying down and even death of the saints.  I’m sorry that I don’t have what appears to be the TRiUMPhant report.

But, I really do, if you have ears to hear and eyes to see it.  You just have to trust the plan:

1) He fully recompenses those who set their eyes upon Him in faith that He has a plan
2) He will preserve you from destruction
3) The house of David grows steadily stronger, while the house of Saul grows weaker continually.
4) Watch the economy.
5) Watch the evil that is exposed and brought to justice.  We won’t see it all, just the part of the iceberg that is above the water.
6) This one is not revelation – just insight- I do believe the wall will be built and Mexico WILL pay for it.  Indirectly.
7) Notice, the donkeys were found…  More D’s will move closer to the original plan for their party or switch parties altogether.

1 Samuel 9:20 But as for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not be anxious about them, for they have been found.
