The Calling of the Roll
I’ve given you a mission
But you only saw the journey
Your eyes were on the prizes
On the sidelines of the race
But I’ve a purpose and a plan
See the finish line with yearning
Heads up! Eyes forward!
First! See My face!
Beelzebub’s distractions are
As a swarm of flies
To keep you from the vision;
To mix the truth with lies
I am The Way and Truth
See My heart, My face!
Listen for My word
Remain in My embrace
You have more than you know
But you’ve been more concerned
With the affairs of this world,
To the left and right you’ve turned
It’s time to call attention to your
Body and your soul
Pick up the Cross that’s been laid down
Put on your robe
Fix your crown
Hands in the air
Wait for the sound of
The calling of the roll
