Woke up to a word
I audibly heard
And spelled out for my mind’s eye to see
In bold letters it stood
Right there under my hood
Was the word “Immortality”

My morning devotion is planned
It leapt out from the page
As if sprung from a cage
“Forever” is at Your command
Daily we don
Like a garment put on
Immortality slipped over raised hands
The Pearl of Great Price, made
by Sacrifice
Adorns a cord of three strands

Yes, The Day is almost here
But the Bride makes herself ready
