I sit above the battle
Far above the storm
Seated in high places where my will has been conformed
Seated in high places where I have been transformed
I sit above the battle, and rule with lips and tongue
Seated in high places a new song is always sung
Seated in high places I can’t be taken down
Seated in high places I wear a victor’s crown
I sit above the battle
Though I see the warfare wage
Seated in high places, directing from off-stage
Seated in high places I avoid the enemy’s rage
I sit above the battle
not in the scornful’s chair
Seated in high places away from lion’s lair
Seated in high places I am joyful in my King
Seated in high places I hear the angels sing
I sit above the battle
Though I am a firebrand
Seated in high places, two-edged sword in hand
Seated in high places with my praises I command
I sit above the battle where kings and lords are bound
Seated in high places, there is a glorious sound
Seated in high places, no evil can abound
I’m seated in high places
I’m not seated on the ground
Psalm 149: 1Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
7 To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
8 To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute on them the written judgment—
This honor have all His saints.
Praise the Lord!
Psalm 1
Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
Ephesians 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus
Romans 12: 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
James 3: 4 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.
