It’s Not Too Late for a Diet Change

Avoid the processed food – food that has been broken down and pulverized so that it is more palatable but void of substance.
Remember when the tares and the wheat are sifted, it will be the wheat which has bowed low in maturation, full of substance and nutrients, that will be spared.

Matthew 16:5 Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.
v 6 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the [c]leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”

7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have taken no bread.”

8 But Jesus, being aware of it, said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?

9Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?

10 Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up?

11 How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?—but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Leaven – added to the dough to make it puffed up, rise, palatable. It’s the stuff we add to God’s word to make it more appealing and give us a sense of satisfaction.

While people are looking for words from the Lord; they will be found by those who are speaking few.

Amos 8:11 (The Voice Translation)

The Eternal Lord says,

Eternal One: The days are coming
when I will send a famine on the land—
Not a hunger for food or thirst for water,
but starvation for the words of the Eternal.
12     People will stagger from the Dead Sea to the Mediterranean Sea,
        and from the north to the east;
They will run everywhere, desperate to hear the voice of the Eternal One,
but they will not hear it.

We eat what we crave
We crave what we eat
We eat what we crave
We crave what we eat

They feed the belly til they’re full
Still they starve, still they drool
They read and read enough to learn
Still they starve, still they yearn
Famine is coming, but not for bread
Still they eat, but they will dread
Hunger will be for words of life
No longer processed for them.

It’s not too late to start discerning the true word of the Lord.

  1. It will s definitely not too late to discern. If we are His and our hearts are hungry He is so ready to fill us with substance from above. Thank you Darlene. Love the scriptures you shared. Thankful for you. And thankful for like minded hungry hearts for His Word. That is eternal.
