I had a vision of a car on the road, being driven at a high speed. The driver did not slow down around curves or when an oncoming vehicle approached. Water in the road caused driver to hydroplane, and car began to swerve as the driver tried to regain control. If the driver slowed down, there would have been complete control of the vehicle. If the driver had slowed down, he would have seen the goodness ahead of him.
We are coming into more turbulent, volatile times. You are the driver of your vehicle. Slow down, wait upon the Lord and you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Slow down. That may mean some things will not be finished. That will mean some people will not have the same attention from you. That will mean some things will have to be let go of. That may mean less hours at work. That may even mean your ministry if performance or people pleasing or status was the reason you run with it. Slow down. Wait upon the Lord.
Psalm 27: 13,14
I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
