These are the days of……

bible_reading_plans

This morning, I turned to open my Psalms for today, June 3.   Psalm 3, 33, 63, 93 and 123.   Here are the verses that jumped out at me:

Psalm 3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
Who have set themselves against me all around.

Key thought:  Thousands against me

Hordes-of-people

Psalm 33:10 The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.
vs 11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever,
The plans of His heart to all generations.
vs 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.

Key thought: The counsel of nations have no effect; the counsel of the Lord stands forever. (more than advice? is “counsel” the law of nations of the earth?)

counsel lord

Psalm 63:1 O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.
vs 2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary,
To see Your power and Your glory.

Key thought: I am desperate for You!

DesperateImage

Psalm 93:3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their waves.
vs 4 The Lord on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea.

Key thought: The floods are loud and mighty, but the Lord is louder and mightier.

Psalm 123:3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
vs 4 Our soul is exceedingly filled
With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud.

Key thought: Lord, we are filled with the same thing as our enemies; contempt.

contempt

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
vs 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

Key thought: Trust the Lord.  His ways do not look like ours.

Last night, I asked my husband “What would it take to bring respectful conversation back to humanity?”  I watch the news and my Twitter feed, and I see and hear the anguished and rebellious, lawless voices getting louder like the lifting of the floods.  When I don’t participate, I stand 10,000 feet above to get perspective.

I see righteousness being restored and I also see that as it is, evil is becoming bolder in the hearts of men against it.  EVEN IN THOSE WHO WANT RIGHTEOUSNESS.  Why is that happening?  Those who want righteousness are participating in the lawless and vile conversation, thus, like the psalmist says “we re exceedingly filled with contempt and scorn of those who are at ease (who do as they please) and the proud (self-righteous proud, not proud as to accomplishment).

So what would it take?  As righteousness is being restored in the earth (the rule of law and integrity in our systems and government), is righteousness also being restored in our hearts?  Or are we becoming just as smug and proud and contemptible?

justice-and-righteousness

We cannot make a law that silences the contemptible voices.  That would go against our 1st amendment of free speech. It isn’t about the speech but what is fueling the speech.  What is fueling the hearts? We don’t just blurt something out, whether with our mouths or our fingers, unless their is anger, lawlessness, contempt and scorn in our hearts that fuel it.  We cannot make a law that takes care of that.

It is up to Jesus alone.  Only He has solved the problem of sin.

Jesus-is-the-solution

I’m not going to leave that there.  The world has been hearing that for too long but has dismissed it.  Partly due to their rejection of Christ; partly due to the Church for our own self-righteousness in presenting the Good News.

The psalmist says there is only one thing that can be done. To cry out for mercy.  “Have mercy on us Lord!”  Trust the Lord.

But is this message a little too late?   Have the floods’ risen so high that they cannot be tamed?  The word says the Lord is mightier than even that.

Trust the Lord.   Lean not to your own understanding.

So, as I was meditating on all this this morning, knowing that absolutely nothing that can be done to bring peace to this earth right now, save the Lord’s return in the hearts of men, I heard this in my heart:

“Who comes before Me?”

And then the song “These are the Days of Elijah”

Elijah.

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
vs 6 And he will turn
The hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers,
Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

The first Elijah was Elijah the Tishbite.  The second “Elijah” was John the Baptist.

Is the third Elijah here, in this earth today?  His nickname was “the troubler of Israel”  because he disrupted the status quo.

hmmmmm….mercy

Church Pushes or Transgender Leadership

From December:  Ish-Bosheth – (Ish-bosheth means “the man of shame”)
If Saul represents traditional religion and judging by sight and sound, and outward appearances, Ish-bosheth, being his son in the flesh, will be an amplified version of all these and will seek to govern by illegitimate authority.  Traditional churches will rise in power, but only because they will sense that authority has been removed (Saul is dead) and so they will try whatever means to remain on top, and many on the political left AND political right will seek to side with them; they will not be interested in seeking God but rather power.  Watch the mainstream denominations this year.  Many will come out of them like the men of Jabesh-gilead, and give a proper burial, but many will join them as well.

Psalm 1:6 For the Lord knows THE WAY of the righteous,
But THE WAY of the wicked will perish.

Galatians 6:6 The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Do not be deceived – the narrative that is promoted is that the LGBTQ community has been rejected by the church for who they are and this is not the case.  THE WAY has been rejected.  THE PRACTICE and the IDENTIFICATION according to SEXUAL PREFERENCE has been rejected.  THE PRACTICE OF SIN and what IS UNNATURAL has been rejected.

But the carnal mind will continue to make this about the people themselves.  I love my LGBTQ friends.  I have several.  They know what I believe, but they know I love THEM!

Let’s remember it is about the WAY; the PRACTICE OF.

Romans 2:1 Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things.

What things?   See Romans 1.

God is telling THE CHURCH not to pass judgment on the PERSON who commits a sin, but rather the PRACTICE OF SIN.

Psalm 86:10 Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.

The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted

wrong and rightFrom December’s Word:
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.  While I have given you authority to walk in and govern, the lawless will continue to illegitimately take the authority upon themselves to control and manipulate.  You will see the darkness of witchcraft come out of hiding and be broadcast through the airwaves, the television and radio and over the internet.  I say “increase” because it is already happening but it will soon threaten your ability to be free with what you speak.  You’ve seen a little of it, but it will be everywhere and in your face.  Pay attention to My Spirit and I will give you what to say in appointed times.”

The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.

Psalm 1:1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord knows THE WAY of the righteous,
But THE WAY of the wicked will perish.

How blessed is the man who does not seek advice or direction from those who hate righteousness, the rule of law, the people of God

Nor stand in the pathway, the walkway, watching them on their journey

Nor participate in the mocking along with the rest of the scoffers

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, the Wisdom that comes from it

And in His law he meditates, thinks on, ponders, considers, mulls over day and night

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season- immovable, solid, unshakeable; able to not only be provided for with sustenance to live long but be refreshment to many, be shelter to others, and sustenance for many more.

Its leaf does not wither, though it be shaken, it returns

And in whatever he does he prospers, provision is multiplied

The wicked, the lawless, those who hate the rule of law and righteousness, lovers of self and not fellow human beings and certainly not the Lord (though it appears so until they are angered), are not so – they are not stable but are easily provoked, easily rattled, easily shaken to the core and then scream out in protest when the storms come

They are like the dandelion spores those little white puff balls easily blown and driven by a child’s breath

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment; oh they will be there, they just won’t be able to stand

Nor sinner’s in the assembly of the righteous; the ones they have mocked and murdered and hated by destroying their livelihoods – nope they won’t assemble with them because they have already received their reward – the praise of the family of the wicked

For the Lord knows the WAY of the righteous – yes He knows the heart and the intent but He also knows the WAY.  The WAY they continually live their lives when nobody else is looking on

He also knows the WAY of the wicked; the lawless.  This way will perish.

*******************
It is so easy for me to get on social media and get trigger finger.  It is SO easy for me to see a comment that is completely vile and want to tap tap tap away and let that one have it – but for me, that would be standing in the pathway of sinners and sitting in the same seat as the scoffers.   What good is it?  Will anyone hear?  Will things change?   If I thought so, I wouldn’t be on social media, I would be preaching somewhere in some capacity.   It’s easy to use social media as my platform if I don’t’ really have one.

Yet in the last few days I’m seeing that very thing happen.  Hollywood has-beens and wanna-be’s, those who no longer have a platform and those who want one, are tearing people down in the most vile, horrific way.  The rescuer in me wants to come to the aid of the targeted victim, the mother in me wants to protect, the grizzly in me wants to take the vile perpetrators to task, but the righteous woman of God in me, who I truly am, knows that the Lord is more than able.

So if I only have an audience of One, I am content.  My way is stable.  And so is the way of many others, even those who have a larger platform and are in the position to make difficult decisions regarding others.

It’s about knowing your authority and staying within it.    “Pay attention to My Spirit and I will give you what to say in appointed times.”   Learn what your authority is and pray with boldness that the Way of the Lord is established and that the WAY of the wicked will be stopped.  You have that authority to do so.

Eternity’s narrative

jesus-embracing-alt-720x360Psalm 30:6 O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave;
You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Yesterday I wrote about the battle for the narrative.  What is going to be the story that is most talked about?   What is going to be the story that is told for future generations?  I didn’t know when I wrote it that Roseanne Barr would have her show cancelled due to quick fingers on Twitter about Valerie Jarret, George Soros and Chelsea Clinton.   I’m not going to defend her comments, nor am I going to say I defend her right to say them, BUT there is a battle for narrative.

ABC cancelled her show because of her comments, TO THEIR DETRIMENT.  They lost 2.5 million conservative viewers because of this.  YET, when Joy Behar made insulting comments about VP Mike Pence, and ultimately all Christians who hear from the Lord as having a sort of mental illness, there was silence.  Joy still has a show today.  When Wanda Sykes, actress, called President Trump a word I won’t write, there is no backlash.  Yet ABC will cancel Roseanne for her comments even though she had apologized for them immediately.  It was not Roseanne who put the rest of the cast and crew out of work.  It was ABC themselves.

Because of the narrative they want to control. From December’s word:  (A civil war has been prophesied for about a decade or more but the time is now. This is not a war between the right and the left. It is not a war between male and female. It is not a war between states or nations, but rather a war of Legitimate and Illegitimate authority.)

A war is being fought right now and many are not able to feel it or see it yet, but they will soon.  It is a battle to control what is being talked about and to silence those with opposing views.  Never before in my lifetime have I seen this battle rage like I have seen in the past few months, intensifying each week.  I myself have felt it.  Very few people read my blog posts.  It doesn’t matter anymore because I just have to write them.  It’s what I do.  I had thought maybe I don’t have anything interesting to say or maybe I’m not writing about what is relevant.

However, I was shadow-banned from Twitter.  That means that Twitter has used their algorithms to target what I stand for, what I retweet and write mostly about, to make sure that nearly nobody sees my posts or when I respond.  At first I thought it was my imagination until someone showed me by taking a snapshot of my post on their end: “Tweet unavailable” even though I saw it on my end.   This person and others did not see my posts – they saw that I posted but that my comments were unavailable.

Why me?  Did I write anything to offend?  Did I cuss or use offensive and sensitive material on my tweets?

No. My profile included hashtags that said #maga and #draintheswamp and #loveJesus.  For which of those do you think I might have been shadow-banned?  Not “love Jesus” – because it’s okay to love Jesus as long as you are not a threat to the narrative.  It is the maga (make america great again) and drain the swamp that got me targeted.  Eventually it will be because I love Jesus, but only because my loving Him will become clear to those who want to control the narrative that real Jesus lovers hate sin and want the swamp drained.   We can love love love all we want.  Just don’t expose and create a narrative with a different view point.   It is an attack on the First Amendment.

I don’t see this war as one that will go away but will increase in intensity.  Everyone will be challenged on their beliefs.  Remember, this is not a war between the right and the left.  It seems that way right now but the true war is between who controls the narrative.

********

My former husband died last week on May 21.  He spent his life mocking Christians and often God Himself.  I went to see him before he passed away and talked to him about Jesus.  He asked me to forgive him for everything.  How could I not?  He did talk with Jesus and told me that Jesus was waiting for him with open arms.   What could have been the narrative over this man’s life was changed. What could have ended with terrible sorrow, in a moment actually became a new chapter of victory.  It was no longer about all he did but that no matter how great a sinner he was, he was still able to be forgiven and was forgiven.

Nobody saw it happen.  Nobody witnessed the evidence in his life, but Eternity controlled the narrative and Eternity won.  All of Heaven is talking about how Jesus saved this man’s life.  That’s Eternity’s narrative.

What is your narrative? Is it Heaven’s?  Or is it this world’s?

Who controls your story?

The Battle for the Narrative (the sword is in their lips)

The Power of the Word in Your Mouth - The Glorious RealmsPsalm 59: 5 You, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel,
Awake to punish all the nations;
Do not be gracious to any who are treacherous in iniquity. Selah.
They return at evening, they howl like a dog,
And go around the city.
Behold, they belch forth with their mouth;
Swords are in their lips,
For, they say, “Who hears?”
But You, O Lord, laugh at them;
You scoff at all the
nations.

Rev 12:15 And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.

Saul died by his own sword. From December word for 2018

It won’t take but a quick observation to see that the battle which rages right now is control for the narrative in the nations to get the people talking.  If you get enough people stirred up with a certain narrative, then it doesn’t matter what the Truth is, only what everyone is talking about.

While reading my selected psalms this morning, I felt to STOP at Psalm 59:7 “Swords are in THEIR LIPS!  They BELCH (hot air) with their mouth, but swords are in their LIPS!  Hot air is in their mouths but a dagger is at the edge of their mouths, positioned to use and thrusted forth by hot air.

The era of Saul is dead. (See December word).  Saul died by his own sword (1 Samuel 31).  The narrative (what they WANT you to believe and speak) is the sword.

You may or may not have heard this yet, but there is a new phrase, I’m not sure where it began but (a popular artist) made it popular; Dragon Energy.  He is on a mission right now to not be silenced or told what to speak or how to think by anyone.   I thought of this “Dragon Energy.” While it might be used as a weapon of defense against those who would like to silence conservative or Christian voices, it is still engaging in the battle of words.

The dragon in Revelation 12 has a flood coming out of its mouth.  This is a flood of words.  I looked up the word Flood in this context; potamos. It means torrent, river, flood of drinking water.

(Hmmmm.  I’m not here to do an exegesis on the Word of God, only to write what I hear Him saying THROUGH the Word and anything else He chooses to use – but I think I am hearing Him say that even a flood of drinking water, when it comes out of the mouth of the dragon, will drown, not give life.   The word potamos is used, not the word pino, which is the alternate form of the word which means water that refeshes).

Psalm 149 says our high praises are in our mouths while the two-edged sword is in our hands. We are to be found doing God’s will and praising Him, acting on what God has told us and not reacting to the narrative around us.

Psalm 59:12 On account of the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips,
Let them even be caught in their pride,
And on account of curses and lies which they utter.

Out of the mouth of our enemy comes sin, and sin fuels the use of words. Out of the mouth of those with “dragon energy” comes a flood of words that doesn’t give life but fights back with carnality.  Out of the mouths of the righteous come praise, and words that refresh, give life, speak Truth and come from a heart of purity.

Saul died by his own sword, his own narrative.   What narrative do you want coming from your mouth and lips to go forth in this world?
